I have no issue with sports betting but honestly it’s just annoying at this point how it’s everywhere you look.

Worth noting that this is a partnership between Fan Duel and Diamond Sports and not a transfer of ownership. I'm curious how this will impact the actual broadcasts. It's easy to assume that this means a bunch of gambling content, but Bally's is also a casino and we didn't get any of that with them.

I'm an avid NHL bettor and I 100% absolutely cannot stand how much sports have become flooded with betting talk. It's dangerous and needs to be curtailed.

I assume this is just some sort of branding change and doesn’t really change the unknown of where/how Blues games will be broadcast after this season?
Bally's was already a gambling company so the name is just changing from one to another.

It could just be a naming rights but there might also be agreements in place for promotion of Fandual sports betting in addition. A lot of other broadcasts are putting significant time towards odds and parleys more so than we’ve seen so it’s not unreasonable to worry that’s a direction ours might veer more sharply towards.
Honestly didn’t even know that. I had never heard of Bally’s before they took over for FS.
But that may help explain why Bally’s has been terrible from day 1, IMO.

It's always something with these pricks.
I DESPISE the amount of sports betting ads and talk in the NHL. I get that the NHL are getting paid bigtime by them and I am an active bettor, but kids don't need to be exposed to this shit. It can easily ruin lives if you have no self control or get lucky early and think its always going to be that way.

So basically, nothing of import will change, at least nothing listed in the article.. To save you all the click, it says "ballys will now be called fan duel" then reiterates a bunch of stuff that was the case when it was called Bally's, like John Kelly and Jamie Rivers will call 70+ Blues games this season and there will be s post game "show".

I hope Blues fans realize how lucky we are to have Jamie Rivers on commentary in an era where it's much easier to watch the other team's broadcast.
