Worth noting that this is a partnership between Fan Duel and Diamond Sports and not a transfer of ownership. I'm curious how this will impact the actual broadcasts. It's easy to assume that this means a bunch of gambling content, but Bally's is also a casino and we didn't get any of that with them.

Bally's was already a gambling company so the name is just changing from one to another.
It could just be a naming rights but there might also be agreements in place for promotion of Fandual sports betting in addition. A lot of other broadcasts are putting significant time towards odds and parleys more so than we’ve seen so it’s not unreasonable to worry that’s a direction ours might veer more sharply towards.

Honestly didn’t even know that. I had never heard of Bally’s before they took over for FS.

But that may help explain why Bally’s has been terrible from day 1, IMO.

I would be shocked if that didn't happen.

I would definitely expect much more sports betting integration into the broadcasts. Maybe I’m just crazy but I thought I remember reading that was supposed to happen when Bally’s signed on, but it never seemed to happen.

Sports betting is still “illegal” in Missouri so it would be pretty stupid for them to be allowed to plaster betting talk/odds all over the telecast. It’s encouraging the audience to commit a crime.
