Bakersfield Condors 24-25 thread

Big win for the Condors. At least 3 Condors made their debuts tonight. Josh Prokop from the Golden Bears, Brady Stonehouse and goalie Brett Brochu. Brochu has had a 0.920 and a 0.924sv % in the ECHL the last 2 seasons. Maybe we have a late bloomer on our hands? 8-2 Condors.
Brochu got both ends of the back to back for the team this weekend and played well in the second game as well, stopping 21 of 23. Really is something they’re giving the ECHL call up that kinda time over Delia but it seems like he’s rewarding them so far.

It shows that we're rightly unhappy with both AHL guys this season.

I think they signed Delia because he was one of the few veteran AHLers out there that was fine with playing the backup role behind developing guys.

Big club poster here. I'm starting a thread where the big boys post, about Olivier - so I'm asking the AHL posters here for some hints..... request for information (RFI).

Whats the deal with O-Rod ? Can you guys tell me why his numbers are average in the AHL ? He looked fast, athletic, and tracking puck very well.

We need a goalie up here, McDavid and I ask of you.

Hope to chit, that your molded O-Rod for us !!!! Does his Dad coach him ? Can you send us his Dad too ? If this is the case ?

I agree. And Delia is from California as well, family decision, got to play closer to home.

But an interesting debut for Brochu.
He is 6’0 so not big, but not wolf small.
Had great stats as the number 1 in London, won the starting job @ 17.
Played for team Canada during the under 20’s winter tourney that ended being postponed.
Signed as a free agent with Fort Wayne in 2023.
Condors signed him in 2024.

Caggiula got into a fight yesterday. I hope he's not too badly hurt.

Grubbe has been a massive disappointment so far.
Yeah, I would have liked to see more from Grubbe this year, but he's probably the #1 victim on the team when it came to the lack of depth and injuries.

He was constantly playing with ECHL call-ups and defensemen playing forward(and sometimes even ECHL call-up defensemen playing forward). When he was playing up the lineup for a bit, I thought he actually looked like a similar player to Philp, but unfortunately he was mostly stuck down on the 3rd/4th line without much help.

Similar to Philp would be good seeing as he's quite a bit younger.

Right on queue, Clattenburg lining up with Grubbe. It is the logical debut spot, but the derelict in me screams reunite Clattenburg with Savoie from Rookie camp, you cowards. :sarcasm:

But they keep your boy Keppen with Philp and Griffin.

Brochu back-to-back.
