Now that's a shot and release that WILL score in the NHL. Let's Go Savoie!

Good to see him score, but honestly, there are likely a few people in this thread that could have put that puck in the net in that scenario, lol. He had a wide open net 10' in front of him.

Agreed though, he does indeed have a plus shot, and I think it will translate not too badly to the NHL.

There are some that would blame the goalie for not stopping that too ;)

But yeh it’s a gaping net. But done with such ease, quickness, and precision to get it high. This particular chance was easy though, but it shows ability for tougher chances from that same side with that same one tee. I think lesser scorers might just rip that into the pad or dust it off or maybe even flub it.

Agreed. He has shown to have a pretty deadly one timer in the AHL, and a pretty darn good shot overall. Shooting skills isn't going to be high on the list of things that are wrong with the player, that is for sure.

It's harder than it looks, but perhaps the more notable part of the play is the off-puck movement in order to create that open net look (i.e. hiding in the D-men's blindspot and then backing up just in time to create the opening).
