So realistically our center depth is Pederson, Griffith, Malone and Grubbe? Do they move Berglund and McKegg to the wings? I wonder how much guys like Savoie, Bourgualt, Tullio, Petrov and Chiasson get buried.

I fully believe Chiasson in particular should be sent back to the WHL for his overage season. He’s battled a couple injury plagued seasons and has by no means dominated the league so he’s still got more that could be learned, plus like you say he could end up buried as the odd man out in Bakersfield for long portions of the year.

Nothing that I saw of him in camp suggests that he is too good for the WHL at this point. I agree, send him back for 1 last season.

As for center depth, I'm thinking that De Jong will probably be one of the centers down there.

So I guess Chiasson isn't going back for an overage year this year?
Nashville didn’t sent Luke Prokop back to the WHL until sometime in November last year so it’s still not out of the realm of possibility to happen. It makes sense to put him through AHL camp and some preseason games to see how he handles it instead of making the call right out of NHL rookie camp. That said I honestly don’t expect that they’ll actually make the move to send him back and he’ll end up bouncing between ECHL and being the 12/13 forward for the Condors. Which will be unfortunate and likely not a great move for his development but NHL orgs seem not to use that option very often.

The goalies must have been sleeping in this one. :sarcasm:

(Looks like AHL.com bugged out and counted every shot as a goal haha.)

Bakersfield looking pretty crowded up front. Lots of mentors for Lavoie, Bourgualt, Tulio and Savoie but really puts a squeeze on Petrov,Grubbe,Chaisson,Berglund and a handful of young Ahl contracts Do they really consider adding Gagne and Erne to vets Malone,Griffith, Hamblin,Caggiula and McKeeg?

Lavoie throwing the body a lot early.

Nice pass from Savoie to Malone.

Malone has stone hands.
