The phrase "timely save" has always bugged me because pretty much all goals against suck. And you probably only needed to make a "timely save" because you let in some goals earlier. If you'd made those earlier "untimely saves", you wouldn't need to make a "timely save".
But this was a timely win.
A lot of depth looked good tonight. Schenn with a strong game. Comrie obviously played a great game, and as a side note he plays the puck really well. If Iafallo ends up a cap casualty next year, I feel like we've at least had a chance to see him at his best - sublime assist to Scheifele. Miller with a deadly sonic boom. Anderson Dolan represented himself well.
I'm glad the lines are back to normal. But I feel like Perfetti benefitted from being "the guy" on Name's line while Ehlers was shuffled out. Perfetti's emergence has been visible a while now, but him being on a line (for a while) where there's nobody to defer offense to has added even more confidence.
Pretty cool for Comrie to be the guy that leads us to a victory over the Knights.
Hats off to the Knights' coach for pulling their goalie at 5 and a half minutes. Don't think I've ever seen that before. I like they went for the win. I like it even more they got shut out.
