Proposal for all HFJets:
I just finished my mini-pack last night. Jets won in all 6 games I attended.
To ensure a Stanley Cup win, I propose all HFJets pool their resources and buy me tickets to all Jet home playoff games.
Whether your finances are vast or meagre, this is a win-win for everyone.
Section 205 preferred.
Thank you.
:)

I will gladly pay you next Tuesday.

Small sample size but I think that line is more effective with AI on it.

I'd love to see Vilardi playing with Nik and Lowry. As for Smurfetti and Namestnikov, it looks like they can hodl thier own without Ehlers on that line which bodes well for us.

This could be the most balanced lineup we've ever iced. 3 lines that have legit scoring ability, and a 4th line that can pot some too.

Balanced scoring, best D best goalie - I'm trying REALLY hard not to get too excited for the playoffs.

Myself I'd like to see Vilardi slot in with Vlad and Cole, a little more offense for the secondary offensive line.

Drop Nino to line 4. Balance out speed and size.

Extremely entertaining night at the barn last night.

One of the best games of the year by the Jets had by all.

An absolutely ruckus crowd as well. We sit in section 327 and the group of guys behind us were belting out classy statements endlessly.

Easy five out of five John Wicks

Onwards and Upwards

Magic number for 1st place in the West is 8

Coelacanth of the game:

#9 Alex Iafallo

Big game for him. 2 goals -> I have a good feeling he is in the right headspace for the playoffs. No drama, just does it.

Filling in with a killer game, showing over and over again his ability to run up and down the roster, not only just filling in, but doing so with style and results.

He has been underappreciated here, partly because he is overpaid for a 4th line role. But he plays that role very well and also can move up to the top line without skipping a beat. The man has 13 goals, 26 pts. He is worth every penny of his 4 mil. I hope we keep him. Overpay a little if necessary.

Will be interesting. I mean, I wouldn't keep overpay him if it causes a problem etc at the expense of signing Berg long term or Ehlers or Pionk.

mentioned this in the other thread, but out of him, tanev and appleton, the 3 bottom-6 UFAs: Id prioritize him over those 2 easily. but i think it's important to keep in mind when healthy, he's primarily 4th liner on this team. idk about 4M+ for a 4th liner and overpay on top of that. id have him around Namesntikov's 3M or under.

& at some point i think the Jets need to start considering the plans on some of their Fwd prospects too (the ones i have in mind are lucius, chibrikov, lambert, barlow, yaeger), as the top-6 is likely spoken for in the medium-term other than 1 spot (Namestnikov). & from accounts on here, Chibrikov is the only one who really has that 4-line versatility as opposed to top-6 or nothing.

I noticed in a few games lately teams are shooting the puck at the boards instead of the net and the puck comes right back for great scoring chances.
Scheifele being a hockey tv geek noticed it too and probably him and Connor had that play planned and it worked out for an easy goal for Scheifele.

Ehlers did it too.

Great summary.

I’d echo everything above. The game was over after the first goal.

Nice to see the crowd give Dillon a well deserved standing ovation. The guy was a great Jet.

Also nice to see Nino’s buds get some recognition in the building again!

Stick around for another couple months guys…we’re on a roll with you guys here!

What's the story on those guys?

Agree - but an overpay for him is still relatively small coin. Shouldn't be an issue.
I hope all the numbers work out. If push comes to shove and we can't spend the money on the 4th line i get it, but, he does make the team better.
Can see interesting arguments for AI over Nino. I mean nino when he doesn't put up points isn't as versatile on pk, defensively, etc.

Love what Iaffalo brings to this team but I think we have seen this before with him and the top line. He starts hot and plays well but it doesn't last for some reason or another. If and when Vilardi is ready he goes back to the top line and A I goes back to the 4th.
One of the reasons that Iafallo is a value to the team. Not a lot of players can be as effective moving up and down the lineup. Those players are rarely a permanent solution, but handy when needed. We have a couple players like that, who help us mitigate for injuries. And agreed Arniel will slide Iafallo back down upon Vilardi's return.

With the way the Jets have put together the middle six over these past few games, Iafallo might be the perfect guy to insulate one of those young guys.

Imagine a middle six of:
Perfetti-Lowry-Lambert
Nino-Yager-Iafallo

He is a UFA that I personally want to keep but at what price and does he want to stay, I'm sure Chevy and the coaches want him here for a few more years.
