I am still pretty floored by the scam accounts of Inanna and Stumbledore. Reading back on all of their posts - they had so many posts here - and for what gain? I still don’t see the payoff for them. But thanks to you two, I’m way more aware of what I read.

The anonymity of this board (and others) can be a boon to the average honest poster but is not without its problems. While posting under cover i.e., using a fun alias - usually works fine for almost all of us, I would guess these isolated cases are relatively common (perhaps the "payoff" for the burner is a variation of vicarious thrill of having deked an entire group/attention seeking/compensation for their reality)... (and the resultant mountain of bullshyte is) perhaps not the pinnacle of what could be defined as "cool". (I'm no psychologist, and this is just an opinion).

Now I'm REALLY chuckling at Stumby feigning indignation at the fact I called him creepy for referring to his "15 year old daughter" in a bikini as "smoking hot" lol.

I started typing posts asking them to get a room and let the rest of us talk about the game on numerous occasions but always ended up just ignoring it all.

There was another female account here a few seasons back who sort of had a similar tone to Inanna but a little more strident with the callouts of misogyny and so forth - she stopped posting right around the time Inanna started I think. I belong to another group that is largely unmoderated and alt accounts are pretty common there. The two here were pretty noticeable but I didn't have any proof, so I really just ignored them.

I knew a psychology professor years ago when forums and chat rooms were just starting, and they liked to pretend they were another gender to see how people behaved. It was really an experiment for them. This could have been the same thing because a lot of time and effort went into this.

It's funny that someone with a B.A. and M.A., that constantly brags about it, would make a bunch of continuity mistakes like you have. Very sloppy actually.

For instance, you claim to be a middle child (Dec 17, 2023), yet in an earlier post a couple of years back (Oct 13, 2022), you talk about it being your two older sisters.

Or that you had lost most of your hearing from meningitis at age 12 (Apr 14, 2023), yet in an earlier post, you claimed that it was when you were 5 (Dec...

I've been quite fascinated with this. This is really the only forum I hang at and I don't do stuff like social media or Reddit so I just have always assumed that I'm dealing with real people and not scammers. Their motivation as to why they did this is a mystery but if you look at the post histories, they've been feeding off of each other since the start. Bizarre stuff.

Probably the same person with two accounts. Maybe they are still here with a third account and enjoying the notoriety.

It happened at the end of the Jets/Preds PGT. Our resident sleuth Barnaby posted about irregularities in the poster Inanna's comments that we're inconsistent. Personal details that changed over time. I also added a few observations once that was pointed out, and also pointed out that the Stumbledore account used to be Silver Moose.

Basically concluded they're likely not real posters. Neither account has posted since.



I don't want to reveal too many details, just in case. I will say it was an unsophisticated phishing attempt that almost anyone could see it for what it was. Hence why I stated it might be related, but maybe not. It could just be a coincidence.

Figured it might be helpful to make everyone here aware of it, so if over the next little while if they receive an unusual message, email, social media interaction, etc. to be cautious.

I browse a forum called SkyscraperPage where people can chat about construction and city planning developments in their respective areas - there was one guy a couple years ago who claimed to be a city councellor and somehow he got doxxed.. turned out he was some random 60 y.o living in saskatchewan who worked at a grocery store and it all it took was a few people and a small amount of internet sleuthing to figure it out. Weird too, because he had made over 5000 posts over the years and always talked as if he had been in that field of work the entire time.. meanwhile he was just roleplaying. Super odd. Haven't seen him on there since
