Dumba is the only contract that absolutely has to be dealt or bought out, ideally the former. Leddy has an edge case if St. Louis really wants to hunt for game this offseason. Carolina's cap situation is so pristine that even if they add a huge piece, there's no financial need to dump the KK contract. The Isles look relatively good, cap-wise, but maybe they want room for their RFAs?

Actually with the Marchment deal and the contracts signed today, Dallas in theory could fill a 21-man roster by signing 3 forwards at the league minimum.

Turns out making a $30m investment after 56 NHL games wasn’t a great idea! He looked good in a string of games that didn’t mean a thing and got handed a big extension. It never made sense to me, personally.

Is he really that bad ? Typical Sabres think to do buying him out and then he signs with Florida for 1 mil and is a top 4 there

Do you think Buffalo would pay to move him out? The idea I had was Timmins for Samuelsson and Quinn, Buffalo gets a decent bottom pair RD and gets out of Samuelsson’s deal. They have the young forward depth in the AHL to replace Quinn.

The Price contract has 1 year left and ends before the CBA expires. But no one is trading for his contract until his bonus is paid and for some reason it won't be paid until Sept

I doubt they would give up Quinn to dump Samuelsson but I think there is a deal to be done between the two. Rackell is the type of forward they need and Rust would be a good addition. Obviously value needs to be balanced out with either of those guys, but Dubas should definitely be calling Buffalo on Samuelsson and the younger guys they have that haven't hit their heights yet.

If the Pens are tanking next year to get McKenna or another in the top 5, from those mentioned in this thread Grubauer with a sweetener for Jarry wouldn't be a bad swap for them and Seattle.
