Seriously, unless you have a big truck or van WTF is the point? Just to piss people off and to show how great your precision driving is in reverse? Last time I checked it takes longer to back into a parking spot than it does to back out.

Think of all the people you know that back into parking spaces and pick out a common denominator in their personalities.

It's a lot easier to see what's going on in the parking lot when pulling out if you've backed into the spot. It's not like backing into a spot is hard.

It doesn't take very long if you know how to drive. It is a two point maneuver: stop, reverse.

When parking on site reverse park only and keys left in the ignition.

Any competent driver can back into a parking spot just as quickly and efficiently as pulling in.

And it's easier when leaving given you have full view of any cars or people.

He likely cannot back into a parking spot very well and therefore when he see's other people do it he gets angry lol. Or it may take someone an extra second to maneuver correctly and it makes him seethe a bit.

If you relied solely on backup cameras, you'd be lost if you ever had to reverse park in a car that didn't have a camera.
