Back to the drawing board for USA Hockey?

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
I mean I suppose you always want to be better, so you always go back to the drawing board to some degree. But the US played really well. They won the round robin against Canada, and the final went to overtime. I don't think either team was really outplaying the other. Game could have gone either way. Maybe they could trade Matthews to Albania, though.

So?

What does that change about what I've said?

You expect fans from here not to dump on these guys after all their big talk the last while?

And I doubt many people from anywhere are very concerned that they are being made to eat crow right now, you may not have noticed, the U.S isn't exactly very popular these days anywhere.
lol they talk this way because every single time Canada wins we get acts like this. No shit they’re excited to beat Canada - been on top nonstop.

I don’t really give a shit about politics when I’m watching sports I enjoyed an amazing game between two dead even teams. the fact you’re vouching for OP despite the fact it’s clearly bait to piss off US fans has your brain warped

You must be living in a bubble, not all of us are.

Continue on with kissing ass, most people don't engage in that.

I’m actually a Canadian who lives in the United States for work and school. But im the one living in a bubble when you probably haven’t ever left your hometown?

Not everything is so black and white, but keep letting politics dominate your feelings on every waking moment. Must be miserable - but that’s obvious to see.

The US was once a joke at hockey, now we are likely Canada's top rival. The margins are razor thin. We were a couple of great Binnington saves away from sweeping Canada, I'd say whatever we are doing is working.

Meh I don't buy the top rival rhetoric, Canada literally always beats the US in final games, its nearly 100% lopsided, the margins are irrelevant, a team that consistently beats another is not a rival, its a punching bag. There needs to be a back and forth for it to actually be considered a legitimate rival.

I have a recommendation:

Stop overanalyzing and bringing players for "certain roles" and instead bring your BEST 12 FORWARDS AND BEST 6 DEFENSEMEN for a god damn change.

Leaving off Robertson, Caufield, and Thompson for older players like Trocheck, Kreider, and Nelson was laughable. They do this every international tournament. Hell, they had Justin f***ing Abdelkader on the 2016 World Cup team.

The last 2 wins were in OT. Binnington saved Canadas ass 3 times in the first 5 minutes of OT. Cool your jets with the punching bag rhetoric.

I remember you from plenty of WJC threads. You've acted the same in all of them. Don't act like this is some "current thing" outgrowth of the political climate, because it isn't lol. It's business as usual.

I remember you from all the international threads, don't act like you're not just just what you have always been............a U.S.A homer and apologist.

You definitely don't remember me because I barely participate in those weird jingoist threads lol

But I do appreciate you not actually bothering to push back on what I said, because it would have just been embarrassing for you. Carry on.

That 2016 US team was horrific offensively. Burke was the one that picked the team, backes, palmeiri, Dubinsky and JVR as well. I thought kreider was good, but trochek and Nelson instead of Jrob and Tage is overthinking it

Nope, on game day I had seen that the worm had turned and said Canada was going to win.....you can go look on the voting thread.

I knew their big mouths had done them in.

And it had.
Ok. I watched you state several times to other Canadian fans that you thought they would lose. You don't have much conviction do you? lol

Less Kreider and Nelson, more Tage and Connor. A healthy Matthews and a more well-adjusted J. Hughes would go a long way as well. The Tkachuk brothers are great and all but we need more goal scoring threats. More guys elite at creating and finishing offensive chances.
