That thread and the "What nationality is John Tavares" was hilarious

Also, "This is Out house!"

If Montanbo is in net, then I don't have a good feeling. He just doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies. And don't f*** with the winning lineup. Keep Pezz and Strubs in. :D

Hopefully we get the Monty who shut out the Leafs and Oilers. Hopefully Savard is ready.

It's this time of the year,
When the Habs are trying to win a 4th game in a row.
But Matheson is on the team,
And the Hockey Gods have made it so,
That the Habs wouldn't win 4 in a row,
Until he's off the team.

I would say they had a disappointing game/loss against Chicago and followed it up with a big effort and win, so they can definitely do what you're describing.

For me, conversely, I think the next step in their maturation is actually showing up and putting a dominant performance against the lower rung teams rather than playing down/not being motivated to show what they can do against them.
They got ****** by the zebras that game. The early 5 on 3 that lead to a goal was complete bs. In my mind we didn't lose to chicago, we lost to the refs

Let the negativity go man
Matheson is actually playing great hockey since he's not being overplayed. Having Carrier eat up key defensive situations allows Matheson to shine as the smooth mobile def that he is

Is Patrik Laine done using all his sick days for the year?

That guy did the oldest trick in the book. He waited till the end of the year to use his 2024 sick days and used his 2025 right away to get a long extended vacation.

Don't tell me about it, my employees are abusinggggg right now

While Dallas is on a 6 game winning streak, they're in a real soft part of their schedule.

They've beaten Chicago, Buffalo, Ottawa, NYR, Philadelphia & Utah. All bottom 10 teams except for Utah, who they beat in OT.

While this game is the 2nd half of a back-to-back for Montreal, it's the 1st half of a back-to-back for Dallas. They're in Ottawa on Sunday.

It's their 3rd game in 5 nights with travel (they're on a 5 game road trip), while Montreal just had a 3 day break.

I expect it to be fairly even game.

Montembeault will definitely be in for Montreal. I expect Oettinger to play for Dallas.
Montreal may be able to jump all over them early.
Dallas with a day off in Montreal they may be a tad bit slow out of the gate.
We had one of our best games last season in Dallas until they pulled their goaltender with 5:00 to go and we couldn't touch the puck. Still held on though. We aren't that team.
:D

With the Four Nations tourney taking away time in February, I would imagine that most teams are dealing with scheduling issues.
Do not watch that crap. Hope for ratings so bad they give up on it. Don't need an idiotic break like that when we are Cup contenders.

A habs win could put them into a wildcard spot tonight but it would take alot of variables.

Scenario 1: A habs win combined with a bruin regulation loss and cbj loss or otl would do it.

Boston plays Florida and Columbus plays st louis.

Scenario 2: A habs otl would work if Pittsburgh, and Columbus both lose in regulation.

Pittsburgh is playing Ottawa tonight.

Too much math and my head hurts.
