Can't argue against stats. Jackets were a worse team with him on the ice defensively over the past two seasons. And so far in Chicago... it's not looking any different. lol. Chicago deserves to be paying Dan Girardi 2.0 10 million a year though, what a scum franchise.

The Jackets are also a garbage team. Thats like saying that Eichel isnt a franchise center because he plays on the Sabres and puts up crap numbers. End of the day hes a top pairing defenseman. Contract is ugly, but hes got the talent level.

Okay, but the difference there is that Eichel put up elite numbers and that Buffalo was a better team when he was on the ice. As opposed to Seth Jones, where The Jackets were putting up better results when Jones was on the bench.

EDIT: As I've said since the start of the season, I really don't have any expectations for the first time in a long time for this team (doubly so given who's healthy and who's not). This is all gravy, including tonight, but I'm not sure it says anything about what's going to happen in April. I suppose Jake ghosting it now doesn't either, but if you've still got this version of Jake in April, then you've got a problem, even if the Pens end up winning 10-1 tonight.
