Darryl Sutter's facial expression following Caufield's goal, was just priceless.

But then again, it could have just been his resting face. :sarcasm:

The lil stick twirl by Mangiapane was even funnier. Looks so embarrassed. Probably cause he should be. It’s like half the celly where you tuck your sword, guy really didn’t know what to do.

Well... I always believed in Allen ;) Lol... Jake, buddy, WTF are you doing? Trying to prove something?

Habs played a terrible game... the number of give aways... It was something else.

I know I will get a lot of flack for this but Habs worst trio tonight? Suzuki's. They looked completely off, very nonchalant, all these fancy play attempts... Sure, great goal scored on PP by Caufield, and fantastic pass by Suzuki on that, but overall... I really did not like their game. They've been quiet for a few games now, but tonight was just bad for me.

Also, I am done with Matheson. BRING BACK PETRY!!! (the playoffs one... with devil eyes)

It was great that Slaf scored.

Also, what's with Guhle? I caught a sight of him limping off the ice just before the final whistle. Any update on him?

Mapper was able to call in a favor to get this sequence of Monahan entering the arena, showing a boot on his right foot.

Still gets 2 assists...

I got a headache reading this. Just tell me if Calgary sucks in 2025 we have a chance at their lottery pick
They should... Teams can take only so much of Sutter and only for so long... I think (hope) Flames will do the Habs of last year :)

Hopefully that indicates the problem isn't hip related right? Maybe he blocked a shot and has a bruise on his foot or ankle?

Let’s just put it this way. The video I posted earlier of Monahan walking into an arena corridor, was showing at its actual speed. I’ve never seen anyone wearing a boot walking at that speed, so it couldn’t have been too serious.

You are not wrong they've sucked for a while now. They are spending far too much time and energy in their own end and their shifts are too long. Caufield often finds himself too far up the ice with the puck by himself. That type of breakout never works.

probably swelling and he couldn't fit his foot in his other shoe.

The habs were getting outplayed for the two periods I saw. I suppose it makes up for the games Allen didn’t do so well.

No point for Dach yesterday night, but he play a really solid game too. Even with no point, i'm really impressed with his skillset. He should have more than 17 points this year, he is been unlucky sometimes. He always make a really good offensive play, great protection of puck, great hands. This guy is so fun to watch.

Glad Allen played well, he has been beyond awful, glad to see his groove back.
Only saw the 1st period, but he was the reason they were up 1-0 after one period.
Shots on goal tell us they got outplayed, and badly.
Off to Edmonton.....

Definitely sounded like a huge pro habs crowd

Flames fans in the Building took notice and I think they avoid trolling us for a while eh? Great road game where they got to see the impact Caufield can have and also Slaf's best game. Curious to see their comments on Slaf

Said it before... MSL is going to protect his players and not let them drown. Team is tight and they wanted to get a win for Allen. Monty will play soon again.

I don't even think he has filled into his frame completely yet. He's only going to get stronger and have more ability to carry the puck in traffic as time moves forward.

Back to center or a play making winger with size/skating. Don't matter. We have a very good top 6 asset.

Can you imagine being the Flames brass this morning? You paid to give away Monahan with a First round pick and he comes back and has two points on two goals to lead the Habs to a win… and he walked in to your arena with a boot on his foot??!!! That’s gotta hurt.

And I haven’t seen anybody say it so far, but Josh Anderson had a very solid game last night. That second goal doesn’t happen without him going back to engage Markstrom, and being smart enough to not take a penalty himself. Just missed on a late breakaway as well. Killed penalties and cycled the puck well. Scoreboard doesn’t reflect his effectiveness.

Thought David Savard was very solid as well, and Edmundson looked much more like the Steady Eddie of old, and had a couple of big hits. That newly created line of Slaf-Monahan-Anderson is a great mix of size, smarts, skill and speed. Slaf had that wicked wrist shot go hard off the post or he could have easily had another.
