Oh you take that back! :cf:

Over the years, I've heard so many people state what you have about good old Cole. For some reason, I never really noticed. I guess I just made the corrections, automatically in my head lol
I think Bob Cole was the best to ever call a game. It’s a very strange take to single out Bob when the Jim Hughson’s of the world were absolutely terrible.

I’d say Cuthbert is pretty damn good too.

I don't like with these games how you don't hear the on ice play with the french games. It feels off.
There was a broadcaster strike (late 90’s?) where they would broadcast games with full on-ice sounds and no commentators. It was awesome; you’d get the full immersion and the girlfriends would hang out with us and party; we could spin tunes at the same time and feel we were at the game all together (but stoned and drunk).

Which Habs prospects have looked good? Which ones have disappointed?
Beck and Mesar have been the obvious standouts so far. I also loved Xhekaj in Game 1, despite one bad read which led to a goal. You feel his presence each time he is on the ice. He is more than just a big and mean D-man, at this level of play at least.

Kidney left me wanting more TBH, but then again it’s way too early to call out prospects… unless that prospect is Joe Exotic Vrbetic :sarcasm: He plays incredibly small for a big goalie.

He was incredibly bad but people were attached to the nostalgia that they associated with his voice.....based solely on his inability to call out the correct name or keep up with the play he was one of the worst if not the worst that I ever had to tolerate.
Is that you with a meth pipe?would explain so much! Most PbP on air talent do more chit-chatting than calling the games nowadays,Bob called the games.

Man, couldn't agree more with what you said about Xhekaj! I have never seen such a big physical defender being so good with the puck and stickhandling! He's a really promising prospect !

Kidney as RW and Mesar at C is kinda funny no? Maybe they want to see what Kidney can do with the best linemates? Mesar will still have Heineman so it should be a nice 2nd line

Mesar and Simoneau are on the smaller size though

That is probably the most complete roster this rookie camp. I think only Harris is missing from making this fully complete.
No Norlinder either. We'll see more of him in the preseason I guess

The Ottawa prospect depth is definitely not what it once was. a lot of them have graduated.

Key prospects to watch on their team would be
LW- Angus Crookshank
C -Ridly Greig
RW- Roby Jarventie
C- Shane Pinto
LD- Jake Sanderson

G- Mads Sogaard
RW- Tyler Boucher
C -Zack Ostapchuk

Sanderson needs to introduction, Mads Sogaard is one of the top Goalie prospects in the NHL. While Boucher didn't do much last year I can see him wanting to impose himself on Slafkovsky as a way to prove himself to his team.

For this tournament They definitely seem to benefit a lot from mostly drafting NA players as it seems most of them are available for it
Sanderson and Pinto aren't playing. They've been essentially deemed too good and the Sens brass don't want to risk an injury. Greig remains out.

I doubt that Sanderson or Pinto will play for Ottawa today.

Although I don't know what to expect from goaltenders, I would be a little surprised if the Senators kept this game close, particularly if Montreal plays both Slafkovsky and Guhle.

Most of what you wanna see is in there

Thanks that's perfect! Watched the two first games in those highlights. Seems like Guindon created a lot of opportunities in game 2. Also like the look of Harris and Trudeau. It will be cool to see who emerges over the next few seasons from the group of prospects.
