GDT: Avs vs. Toronto Maple Leafs, Wednesday, March 19th, 7pm.

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Avs have dumped their fair share of pucks in our zone or out of their zone... the difference is their forecheck is far superior with their speed across lines.

I dunno how many times the Leafs just lost the puck in the offensive zone by just not forechecking or just giving the puck away from trying to cycle because no one was there?
Have they really generated much offence off their forecheck? Seems all rush orientated to me.

They've had a lot more sustained zone time? I don't have the numbers but just watching that period was mostly in the Leafs end, and I'd say by a large margin.

Leafs have done well defending their crease compared to last time... but it will get out of hand again if they don't figure out a way to generate more o-zone time.

I don't see it that lopsided. Just we aren't shooting.

I’ve been keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that Mathews gets healthy and back to his old self by the end of season. It’s imperative if they’re going to do any damage post season.
