I wouldn’t rule out a trade for a RD as well.

It’s entirely possible Manson is missing significant time and they want a physical presence to replace him.
It’s also possible he’s LTIR and the Avs are looking to solidify their entire top 6 D.

If Manson is out the rest of the year into the playoffs and they still bring in Jones. Ok, I will stand corrected.

I like my chances of not having to do that..

Has anyone actually watched Lindgren’s playing recently? In six previous games he has gotten 0+6 and +6. Don’t care how he started the season.
Let’s be honest. There might be a poster or two on this board who watches an occasional rangers game. And I can promise you, when they did watch, they weren’t zeroed in on Lindgren knowing he would be traded here in the future.

His value is being based on the reports of his play. But no one here has actually seen it, but they’ve read about it.

So you’re telling me that if say, a large group of fans, who watch the player on a regular basis, say to a man that he is absolute garbage, you’d listen to them? Or say, we had a poster who was fans of both the Avs and Rangers who agrees that he’s garbage?

If only we could have access to this individual or group of people on some message board. We’d might be able to glean insight.

I actually kinda like it, not gonna lie. Traded a player the coach doesn't believe exists (Parssinen) and a player none of us wanted the coach to believe exists (de Haan) plus the profits from fleecing the canes (hehe) for what I'm going to call a clear upgrade on the bottom pair... and Vesey lol

So Nothing + Nothing + 2nd + 4th for Nothing + Nothing?

No team is going to send us a better center than Mitts for Mitts. He'd have to be part of a big package.
If we gonna get a really good 2C it will take more than Mitts and the 2nd round pick we just used. It would be more like Mitts plus Ritchie or next year’s 1st or both depending on who we’re getting

How about you stupid :eek::eek::eek::eek: look at Makar's advanced stats when paired with a guy named Ryan compared to not paired with a guy named Ryan.

Best in league with a guy named Ryan by his side? You damn right he is.

Behind Quinn Hughes in every conceivable way when not paired with a guy named Ryan? You better f***ing believe it.

Guess what Lindgren brings to the table?

None of you know hockey so shut your mouths and sit down. And watch Ryan do Ryan things.

Did you even read the post I responded to?
He asked if anyone here on this board has actually watched him play. I responded that it’s highly unlikely.

Did I actually make an assessment of the player? Of the trade? No. I responded to his question about whether anyone on this board has watched.
Lindgren may be an absolute atrocity of a player here. But that Has nothing to do with my response to him.

6 points this season and one of the worst skaters in the NHL.

Right on, right on... looking good.

I'm thinking he was just a body to make it 2 contracts for 2 contracts

He doesn't skate, he doesn't hit, and he doesn't PK

I'd rather have Ivan/Prish as rookies learning, than this plug

Sometimes when you can waste a 2nd/3rd/4th rounder on marginal improvements for the lowest yield and lowest leverage position on the team, while ignoring huge holes at C and RD, you kind of have to go for it.

In the end it's just underwhelming. Lindgren is having a career year in production apparently. Unless there is another significant addition it isn't enough.

The Burnsville, Minn., native’s next assist will also mark a new single-season career-best. Lindgren also begins his Avalanche tenure having picked up four helpers in his last three games overall.

I'm smelling a slightly new username perhaps

I agree. I know nothing about Lindgren. Can’t say I’ve seen any minutes of his game. I think this entire board is in agreement that this doesn’t accomplish really anything. Reminds us of the Eller trade.
But we need to see how he plays and if other moves are made to see if our initial assessments are on point, or way off.
