How we want to play, and how were able to play with this lineup are two different things. Bednar needs to adjust his system for the players we have and who's on the ice. Stop letting every defensemen have a green light when it's the 3 and 4 lines out there.Who you gonna grab? Boudreau? The problem with removing Bednar is you're getting rid of a known thing and with the track record on coaches this club as had, we could do a lot worse.
IMO this is a roster problem. Bednar coaches the way we want to play. The roster isn't deep or skilled enough, nor can it stop pucks.
And who would stop pucks? If we fired bednar, who would be interim?
He's so f***ing bad. It's literally unbelievable that he gets to play NHL hockey on a nightly basis.Seeing more of the goals against, holy f*** Georgie, you may as well be setting up the Stars with empty net one timers

CMace earned himself more time with the deadline last yearPlease include CMac as well and Salic if he’s not open to changing the style of this team
Absolutely checks out.xGF:
• Avs: 2.61
• Stars: 2.61
Shots:
• Avs: 21
• Stars: 19
GSAx:
• Georgiev: -1.39
• Oettinger: 1.61
4-1 Stars after 40.
We have three guys in the top-10 for scoring. There's only so much you can ask. Sometimes you need a depth goal. Sometimes you need to win a game 2-1 or 3-2. This team can't.It doesn’t help when the top guys are doing nothing
Just play the third with the empty net
They already played the 2nd with an empty net

Then he needs to adjust accordingly to the limitations of the roster. Are the Wild really THAT much stronger on paper than the Avs? Look at what they've managed to accomplish with that roster.
The bad has certainly outweighed the good at this point. How about the deadline the year before that? Or this offseason?
It's a fair point you and the others made. But I go back to quality of coaches available. We haven't made the roster changes we should to take advantage of Bednar's strengths. Of we move on from him, it has an even bigger chance of killing the season than saving it IMO. Unless you can bring in a top coach, you might as well ride him out til the offseason and jettison Georgie, throw some assets for another defender and 3rd line center.
