The Utah Grizzlies are one of the worst teams in the ECHL this year, they are currently third from last place and 3-6-1 in their last 10.

Speaking of them...are they seriously just staying put? I can't imagine they'd be much of a draw now that the NHL is in town.

I think this guy is really unlikely to get NHL action beyond benchwarning when there are injuries. But in general I do love the Avs practice of occasionally promoting guys on AHL contracts who play well up to NHL deals. It's got to be a big motivator for fringe guys to know that if they work their asses off and play well, they can earn an NHL deal from this club.
