To be fair, this pre-season has been one big letdown regarding almost every player, and the whole team. Not too many bright spots, and the team went 1-5.

I'm not particularly worried, but doesn't really inspire confidence either.

The 2021-22 Avalanche went 2-4 pre-season and 0-4 on the road.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I liked the signing at the time, but he simply got outplayed by Malinski for that particular roster spot.
I didn't think Malinski was that good.

It was a battle for who would look the least terrible.

And Malinski won out over Brannstrom the Broken and soft Kyle or whatever their names really are.

I'm sure some echl team is salivating at getting this guy for their second pairing though.

Imagine trading mark stone for Erik brannstrom with a huge smile on your face and running back to tell everyone how proud you were.

Yeah, we had that guy running our team here in Ottawa. At least you got the boy for free. (And now get a pick back)
Good luck this year boys.

I've been saying the same thing , ever since he left OTT . He's a scout, as he is great at evaluating young talents ... Like you said dont give Dorion any other responsability or you will regret it .

Unfortunately he'll get a better gig than that somewhere.

Anyway...is this the shortest-lived free agent acquisition in team history?

I would hire him as Director of Scouting in a heartbeat, but would never listen to his input on trades.
Trust me. You don’t want him anywhere near your organization in any capacity. Including scout. I will laugh till I die at the organization that hires him next.
