Originally I really wanted Gibson but.. hard not to love him right now. Quite a bit younger and goalies tend to still be very good into their mid 30s, I dig The Wood.

Yeah I’ll also admit that I was hoping for Gibson over Blackwood too. It’s very possible both would have been great.

That said, the way Blackwood is playing with us goes to show that he is finally getting the chance he deserves. Colorado is lucky to be the ones to offer it.

This year I said we should get Gibson although I thought Blackwood would be a good get as well, but I believe last year I said I would love to have Blackwood after a game vs the Avs he looked really good, even if won the game which I don’t remember if we did or not, also watching few other Sharks games last year, I really wanted Blackwood

.920 save percentage atm with Avs and Sharks. I wonder where his stats lie with Avs only.

It is so good to have a towering goalie that covers so much crease. He can still also move like a ballerina. And one thing noticeble is the size of his shoulders. Doesn't leave much room for those top corners that the one whose name I will not mention used to always let goals in from tight angles.

After seeing this many games from Blackwood and how he plays I have zero regrets on this trade or the new contract. Currently the best goalie or second best in the league and paid nothing close to his current form. Not even the contract starting next year.

Even if he regres to the level of that contract his still mighty better than whatever we have had in how many years. And then his easy to move out if needed.

Im just saying good luck to Boston trying to ship out Swayman with that cap hit.

There could be an outside argument to be made for HART consideration.

Yeah, goalies don't win it, but in the truest sense of the award I get where you're coming from.

I'm not sure another player has had the kind of impact on a team as he has this year.

Not only is Blackwood a huge goalie but hes also pretty agile for that size. Pure athlete. He makes watching the Avs fun again even when they lose. 2 goals and under in every game is pretty sweet. Fourgiev could never.

Yeah, the Mild have been good all year Kaprizov is ridiculous. CBJ not so much. Anyway, he did say conversation. Werenski has the same stink as EK for me, 4th forward.

I'm not going to fight you on it too hard, but I don't like 4th forwards getting consideration for the Norris either. My bias is strong in this case.

Since our convo the other day I've gone back and watched more of the CBJ game recaps. I am really glad he's had health this season because to be honest, I think all the time he's missed is really the only thing that's kept him back. I just hadn't realized how much of a difference having him available every game was having.

Cale may be the best dman in the league, but I'd say you're right Zach is more important to his team because they have a heck of a lot less behind him than we do with Cale. I still think the one player who will have made the biggest positiive impact on our team at the end of the year will probably be Blackwood, but goalies doen't get this award.
