He has been nice, sure. (Poehling). That said, Matheson is playing absolutely awesome hockey for the Habs. Like 7 goals, 10 assists in their last 20 games, +7 as well on that terrible team in that stretch. He is their best player now, it´s not even close. Legit 1st pair material. Matheson should´ve stayed. But Hexy knows better than me, I guess.

I don’t think it was Hextall that didn’t want Matheson around. As much as you want to believe it, it seemed like the coaching staff never really trusted Matheson. Especially to use him the way Montreal is, which on the Pens would be above Letang in powerplay time.
