After the debacle against MON the Pens are wisely following the "can't lose lead if you never have lead" principle.

I want to see a fight. Need some emotion from this team. Don’t let them touch our goalie. Team is way to limp about this stuff, so sof.

This is the game we decide to win. Watch.

4-2 Pens
Hope not I need the Avs for my parlay. The more we plummet the higher the draft pick. We just need to hit on that draft pick, then trade Jake at the draft for another first rounder plus another asset or two. It could potentially be glorious, yes!

Watching for the laughs.
Watching for my parlay

Reached this point in the season and seeing how many pts we have compared to the ones behind are, there is no point in wanting this team to lose. The pick could be decent only and only if we win the lottery.
That and of course if missing the playoffs secures both Hextall and Sullivan being fired!
I get that it would be a miracle for a top pick at this point. But mainly i want them to lose since every win justifies their horrific decision making.

What would yall give odds for penguins win tonight? Like 1.60 colorado and 4.00 multiplier for penguins no?
Seriously, the Avalanche are really getting good odds. If you want them to win of course. I would have thought they would have been a -230 or something along those lines maybe even higher.

Please do…running up the score would be better served for them by keeping Carter in the game lol…we can only hope they take Carter out with a high hard hit for which he’s out week to week
Wishing harm on someone isn't cool.you

He's a hard man to take out, regardless.
Watched a hard hitting game, which team was it, about 3-4 weeks back. He had his head down and an opposing player skated fast intending him to catch him unaware and Carter didn't see him until the last second and he bounced off big c and big c just took it and was reduced in speed to a standing still...

Not sure who hit him whether he was a big guy or not, but c isn't small.

If the Carter hit helps spur on the Avalanche to destroy us on the scoreboard, then it was well worth it. Hate to say it but again I got some money riding on tonight's game and I'm looking forward to Nate McKinnon doing his thang. I want us to lose 16-2. But any win will do.

That depends, did they injure a member of your family? In those cases I think it's very well Justified, just a thought.

Jump all over me all you want, but no true fan of a team ever wants to watch their team lose.

Fan as in spectator, sure I can hope they lose to inspire change.
Fan as in fanatic, never been one of those.

I suppose a true blue fan would never root for losing.
Tough though when you have a bone head coach and bone head gm....

Maybe they don't want to *watch* it happen, but sometimes losing in the present has a significant benefit in the future. The 1983-84 Penguins say hi. In the case of the 2022-23 Penguins, forfeiting a very slim chance to succeed in the playoffs could have benefits such as:

1. Getting rid of a totally incompetent GM and his crew
2. Getting rid of an arrogant incompetent coach and his assistants
3. Getting the Next Sidney Crosby in the draft

Granted those last 2 have about a 0.00001% chance of happening, but that's still slightly greater than zero. And all the team has to do is continue doing nothing more than going through the motions. Like they have been lately.

I'd like to see some Pens playoff games this year so I'm not actively rooting against them. Especially when this might be the last time The Core sniffs the playoffs, at least if they don't get traded elsewhere. The teams in the Metro which aren't already better than us, will be better than us very soon.

you weren't around in the 83 84 season I guess. LOL guarantee we were all rooting for the Penguins to lose to get Superstar Center Mario lemieux. We were all clamoring for it. Because in the long run it made the team better and it likely saved the franchise. Same with Crosby and Geno second time around. If you have a chance to get a player like that or even some good players through the draft, and considering the hopeless situation like the current predicament we are in, yes you lose in the short term to be a better team in the long run.

Makar is definitely out for tonight, and the Avs board is all about getting revenge on Jeff Carter. I hope they don't expect anyone here to have a problem with that. ;)

70% chance Avs win imo
Yeah I would think its pretty high sire..... and last time I thought yall should have won the senators game too. The scoring wasnt quite there though . Some of yall might remember me. I am a total nutjob.
But yeah, colorado has even more talent than ottawa as they are the current champs. Would also think that crosby should raise his game now too, for yall to win. Lets see and enjoy life
