Because the Kraken defensemen are skating back as fast as possible when he has the puck so he has to stop up, but the Kraken forwards are swarming him. Literally 3 guys on MacKinnon any time he touches the puck.

Not a fan of the Avs passive 1 - 2 - 2 forecheck. Totally ineffective against Seattle...... they are coming with speed thru the NZ....
Even less of a fan of when the Avs send only one in with the puck while the Kraken swarms him.
Seattle is skating hard and might be faster than the Avs. They certainly understand their responsibilities and positions when on the ice better than many of the Avs.

If it was a few games I'd stick JJ on the right, but all year.. Nah, and not at anything close to top four minutes.

Same with Mikko. I noticed three Kraken collapse on him when he has the puck in the O zone. Seattle keeping Nathan and Mikko in front of them at all times.
