Good win just need to keep it up going back on the road.
But only 8 points out of 3rd with 1 game in hand. So it's very doable if they play well.

Edmonton will have to cool off and the Kings have to go on some lengthy streaks. Hopefully they can keep up the pace they have going of late. It's no surprise they start winning games when the important guys stop playing like ass.

Never a good thing for a team when a coach quits on them a month before the season starts. They've been a bottom 10 team the last 2 years, so we're not talking about a fall from grace, but that still has to be a weird situation.

That poor goalie. :(

Yeah for Budaj!!!!

Yeah Super happy for Budaj, you can just see him beaming happiness in his post game interviews. Such an easy guy to root for, legitimately, genuinely thankful for his chance to play and I'm glad for him that he's getting results as well.

Felt bad for Spencer Martin, he made some good saves. Not a lot you can do to avoid getting cratered when the team around you just doesn't give a **** on their side of the red line. I don't think I've ever seen a team with such low effort/morale in all my time watching the game.

ROFL Sutter.

"On Jordan Nolan’s condition:
He’s in the tub. Did you check on him? Why don’t you ask about the game?"

I don't mean to bag on a guy after a win , but man Setoguchi does nothing for this team. Two terribly bad whiffs on scoring chances, not defending well, and a really bad read on a 2 on 1 [ do I pass,do I shoot, pass, shoot, paaa...] You could hear him drop a major f-bomb when the play ended.

But he did have that nice take away and pass up to Carter for a goal.

What game were you watching ? i think it was one of his best games of the season . His speed distracts other players and opens up the ice for the big guys . A lot of times he's invisible but he had a good game last night .

Budaj:

GAA 2.01 (3rd)
SV% .922 (T-5th)
GP 44 (2nd)
SO 6 (T-1st)
W 24 (7th)

^Among goaltenders that have played at least 30 games.

Better him than Andreoff.

Setoguchi plays hard, he's pretty fast. But if you send him on a break away he'll probably trip on the puck, and fall on his face. He's a worst puck handler than Jordan Nolan, and thats bad.

Look at his price tag. I think he's not only fine, he'll improve and he'll probably be willing to re-up with the Kings for cheap again. He's exactly what we need in the bottom/middle six, a player with at least a little dynamic scoring and playmaking ability.
