GDT: Avs @ Jackets | 5:52pm MT* | Back to Back Emergency

Lots of encouraging signs heading into the POs when it comes to the bottom-6. Coyle getting on the board, LOC finding his scoring touch, Kelly looking good, etc.

Nice for Nelson to get one too, he's been up and down. Will be interested to see what he shows in the POs. Just need Lehky to get off the schnide but I'm guessing he will elevate regardless.

Reactions: Colorado Avalanche
Zellers was a nice little fantasy but trading Mittelstadt for this actual adult hockey player has really benefited us. It has benefited me emotionally, as well.
Damn did Mitts ever melt in a short period. Couple of nice seasons in Buffalo before the trade and started pretty well on the Avs, but then a complete collapse. Doesn't look like nothing has changed in Boston.

Saw his awful turnover today similar to his big one against Pittsburgh before he got traded. Once again trying to do too much for no reason

My game rewatch shows Rangers - Minnesota from who knows when, ffs Viasat 🤬

Enjoying the win, but sad for missing Cale 30th "live"..

Since these other guys got the house music thing going on and off in this thread…

Anyone got good work out jams? Thinking punk, metal, hard rock, generally upbeat stuff for lifting and cardio.

I’ll start: the flatliners I hadn’t heard of these guys and they have two songs on my playlist currently “scumpunch” and “there’s a problem”.

Nice to see pucks have eyes on shots for once. Great for the team's confidence.

Thought EJ played a good game. Starting to look a bit like he did in the games before his lower body injury. Wasn't struggling to skate on his first shift like he had previously either, likely having to loosen up whatever's bothering him, so hopefully that's a good sign that he's starting to heal up.

Made a great play on Coyle's goal to protect the puck along the boards in his own zone, then turn and fire a perfect pass to Wood at the redline to jump start the rush.

That stat Ryker said about how he led the franchise with 1365 blocked shots is kinda crazy. Shows what a warrior he's been for this team for so long. I remember early in his first game back after his broken leg, maybe even his first shift (can't remember) he blocked a shot in the same spot on the same leg he broke blocking a shot.

The NHL should be embarrassed. I went on NHL.com after the game to see what kind of feature there would be on Makar and it was a minor sub-headline. Meanwhile the bLose broke their pathetic franchise record to begin with and it was on the front page. I went today and it was basically 'non-news' of Ovi being 3 goals behind.

Super well spoken dude.

Every time I hear Coyle speak I'm a bit caught off guard at how articulate and nice he is.

You look at him in the locker room he looks like he could bench press the team bus. You watch him out on the ice chewing gum, and shoving guys around, you might think he's full of himself. At first glance, you'd think he was a totally different person. Perfect example of why you don't judge a book by its cover.

He's consistently been arguably the best interview the Avs have had in many years. Played a great game too. Continues to flash some of that untapped skill. Great pass on Wood's goal and that was not easy to kick the puck to his blade and one touch snipe it like that far side seven hole.

Love that he's accepted his role, but would also like to see how he plays with top 6 linemates with better offensive instincts. Looking forward to seeing Gabe possibly play with him and Colton.

See, I knew 30 goals by a d-man isn’t all that impressive now days. Cale needs to aim for 50 next year. Now that will be impressive

Happy with 7-3 and Cale's record but you gotta consider the competition.

I don't really care one iota about the results of these last games. There's nothing to be gained or lost standing wise. I guess it would be better if we won and looked good, but we went 1-5-1 in the last 7 games in 2022.

Don't get more players hurt, get Makar a few more goals and points, win the Art Ross for MacKinnon. That's what matters.

Would be nice to snap the Blues winning streak tomorrow I guess.
