GDT: Avs @ Habs

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Yeah, and realistically pretty much nobody (I'm trying to think of who did?) dominates through 4 rounds. It's just such a tough task to pull off.

Between nagging injuries, and teams figuring out how to game plan and shut down a star player, even the best have an off series or two when they go deep. Off as in just ok.
Mike Bossy.

17 goals in a playoff season.

For 3 consecutive years.

51 goals total.

In 3 of 4 consecutive Cup winning Playoff adventures.

I didnt read through this or anything but im getting concerned about Blackwood and im blaming Parkilla for it. I didnt like any of the goals scored on him yesterday even the Slaf deflection(way too deep in his crease) thats a goal Fourgiev let in all the time. I dont even wanna take about that horrible rebound where he completely lost track of the puck. Going into the playoffs yah Blackwood is officially a concern for me and I hate it.

The Dvorak backhand and the 1st slafkovsky goal were good.

Cale not fully clearing Joshua Roy from the front of the net allowed one to trickle in.

Higher deflection goals are always hard.
Exactly this.

And while the goal no.3 might Blackwood want back it was still down to Lindgren losing Slaf at the boards letting him skate right into the middle between the circles and take the shot.
Seems some people are hellbent that if the goalie sees the puck, there is no excuse for him if he fails to catch it. Which is absolute BS. Powerful and accurate shot from a good spot can beat any keeper.

Malkin when he won the Smythe would be a good shout for dominance in all 4 rounds. Lowest points he scored in a round was 8pts in 7 games in the Cup FInals.

Arguably the best Smythe win ever outside of Lemieux and Gretzky.
