A poor man's Ryker Evans, I just wish he was one year young because those stats as a 20-year-old are nothing special. He's solid though and I am not sure if you'd agree with this, but he reminds me of a more offensive Brett Kulak or Jalen Chatfield.

I can certainly see Chatfield. He reminds me of a young Toews. I don’t think he’s as talented, but played the same sort of game in Seattle as Toews does here. Smart, creative, utilizes incredibly well, attacks open spaces, good defense, etc. I’m not saying he’s that talented or will be that guy as he progresses levels… just how he plays.

Hey I know this kid! Can’t believe we drafted a T-Bird. Super smart kid too. That is awesome. He is one of the more cerebral players on the team. 22 points in 19 games in the playoffs. He is an over-ager but definitely someone to help the Eagles out down the road.

I gotta say, there’s shades of Toews in there. Obviously the chances of him getting anywhere near what Toews has become is extremely unlikely, but he seems to make some pretty good reads, keeps an active stick and remains in good position (at least based off of this very short clip).
