Found our gear half-way to the game and got things going.

Credit where it's due: Georgie. This was his best. With his worst it would have been 7-2 Caps.

Man I loved Girard's game. He can out work some much much bigger guys.

The second line still taking time to build chemistry and confidence. There's no easy match ups on the horizon on the calendar, they'll need to grind it out won't be easy.

I thought the 2nd line got going in the 2nd half of the game. We had flashes of Nuke being a beast again, Mikko looked solid most of the game, Mitts had some struggles but didn't look bad either. If Bednar can snap himself with a rubber band every time he thinks about putting Mikko back with Mack that line can be really good once they gel.

Georgiev best player for us tonight, no question abouth that. His best game this season, by far.

But i still think he is not the solution long term, and not the goalie who can drag us all over the finish line to another cup.

Yeah, Georgie was like a top 5 goaler in a league during the first season when he played for Avs.
He finished ahead of Shesterkin in the Vezina race :sarcasm:

Yeah, you just have to live with Manson's warts in the regular season, because in the playoffs, he always steps up and is a real intimidation factor on the ice.

I do wish he would be more of a stay at home guy, but he just loves the freewheeling of our system.

At the end of the day, Manson provides something that nobody else in our defense corps can provide. He’s a mean son of a bitch in the playoffs and makes opposing forwards keep their heads up and think twice when he’s on the ice. You need somebody like that.

The fact that Manson still skates as well as he does for 33 given his injury history is amazing tbh. His lateral movement is still good and he doesn't struggle getting up and down the ice.

We all obviously want the YOLO Manson moments to be kept at a minimum but his regular season f*** ups don't matter much to me because we know he's a playoff warrior if healthy.
