During his first season here I thought he was the best goalie we had since Varly. Better than Gru and Kuemper.

I agree.

Look, he clearly has the highest ceiling. The organization knows that. He’s fast as f***, recovery and lateral movement is elite.

He just also happens to have the lowest floor. Rebound control can be poor. Prone to weak goals and obviously not mentally strong.

It’s a tough situation.

I hope he gets the Big Hat tonight.

Okay...imagine my confusion. I just got home. Told ESPN+ to start the game from the beginning. Somehow when I clicked the GDT thread it took took me to the end and this is the very first post I see.

EPIC GDT, indeed!

Gah, ugly win but a much-needed one.

Second pairing was victimized tonight. Thankfully Georgiev bailed them out. Repeatedly.

Funny how even after a brilliant performance, Georgiev still managed to piss everyone off with that dumb puckhandling gaffe.

Guess the Avs at least found a fourth line that works!!!

Fun game.

Second line continues to be a mess but I didn't think it was going to be instantaneous. I am a bit concerned about Mitts getting beat so easily along the boards the last few games. I really hope he's not nursing something and it's just an adjustment spell he has to get through.

As for the positives, man I thought Georgiev had himself a game tonight. Credit owed where it's due. Tonight he was fantastic when we needed him to be. He'd have been my #1 star.

I also really liked Girard's game. Cale got freaking owned but he's a stud, I'm not worried about him in the least. Caps are good are slowing things down, and that's our kryptonite. The guys ground through it though so, I'm kinda thrilled with the win honestly.
