Brock is a beast!

Enjoy him Avs fans.

He does basically everything well, maybe nothing exceptional, but he is a very solid centre. He slotting in as your #2 or #3? He is a very serviceable top six forward, if he is on your third line you guys will have absolutely filthy forward depth.


He had some promising potential in the AHL, truth be told he has stagnated because our AHL team is absolutely abysmal. With coaching + the right environment I think he has some potential to develop as a depth forward. But he is more of a top six oriented guy so I am curious how he adjusts his two way game going forward.

Skating is his biggest weakness I am afraid But that can always be improved. John Tavares had an absolutely horrid stride his first year on the island.

He will probably get some time with Val and Drouin on the 2nd line. I think Bednar will use him and Casey as 2C & 3C just depending on the situation.

He'll be playing 2C and bumping Mittelstadt down to 3C.

He will do well for you guys. Brock is great at faceoffs, has good size (not exactly an aggressive player but he uses his size to create space), has an amazing wristshot, is a good skater, is a great teammate... and he looks a hell of a lot like Woody from toy story, which has led to plenty of fun memes over the years.

I honestly can't think of a complaint off the top of my head. I will miss him.

Nelson is 34 but I actually think he is the type of player that will age like wine, so if you resign him to a reasonable $/term I think it would be worth it for yall.

Looks like a guy that can enter the zone off the rush and be in a position to score goals, exactly the type of player who thrives in this system. I especially like his deflections here

With Drouin's biscuits and Nuke's work along the boards, that 2nd line will look deadly again
