how was it weird? the middle six gave us nothing and haven't been giving us much for a while now

Middle six needs a shakeup but i dont see how you do that without touching top line. Nino could play on the 2nd line but none of the 2nd line guys seem like fits for Lowry line.

Ran out of gas in the third but I thought the effort was there on a back to back. It is what it is.

I cannot overstate how much it pissed me off to have Sawyer yapping about how the puck left the zone on that 2nd Avalanche goal. I hate how confidently wrong he can be. Sometimes you just need to shut the hell up, dude.

Next.

Connor's 7 game point streak comes to an end. He had 15 points (6G, 9A) over that span, including 6 multi point games.

Jets drop to 0-4 on the 2nd of a B2B this season. Last season we were 6-2-0.

Comdawg with another strong game (.917%) but drops to 3-6, thus continuing his quest for the "Deserved to Win More Games" award.

Liked the effort throughout the game, but Scheif, my dude, you gotta stop flubbing your shots.

Got an 8 game home stand coming up with only 2 mini road trips (2 games each trip) in January. 14 games in January overall with 10 being at home.

I would expect there to be a lot of positives with that January schedule.

The neighbours made sure I stayed awake for the game. Holy crap are they into the booze early. Probably pass out before midnight from alcohol poisoning if they keep this up. Still disappointed I wasn't invited...:pout: Another decent game by Comrie, the Jets just couldn't help him out in the scoring department. I give this game three "Morks" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Mighty F**ks has been posted for your guesses. The next seven games are available if anyone would like to create a GDT or two (or three for that matter). See you all next year! Good night...

Good game by the Jets no complains considering the circumstances.
Broken stick was the difference plus Connor had a couple of chances to tie the game late.
I want to see more of Ehlers on Lowry’s line they looked good for just a couple of shifts.
After that game I’m not worried about facing the Avs in the playoffs.

Seriously the NHL schedule makers are BS … 4 teams never played the last 2 days but the Jets, Preds and Utah played both days and all 3 teams lost tonight..

First 2 periods were relatively even, but the Avs were the more rested team, and it showed. The Jets had nothing in the tank for the 3rd. Man, Comrie really gets the short end of the stick. He deserves a much better record than he's currently enjoying, because he can't get run support. Also, I figured out what was wrong with my keyboard. I believe it was the stupid USB-A to USB-C adapter that was causing signal interference and missed keystrokes. Only started doing it today. Oh well. Easy fix, and I have an open USB-C port that I'm not using for data transferring.

On to the next one. Enjoy your NYEs, HFJets. I'm going to f*** up more fallen Elven gods in Thedas.
Dragon Age Vanguard?

Fun fact: Thedas was the working name for the setting where Dragon Age takes place. Or, phrase differently:

Hey guys.

Was there any reason that Helly got the easier game against the Preds instead of getting the harder game on the back end of the back-to-back?
I think Helle generally gets the first game, to improve the odds of winning the game that's a higher chance of winning. There is no point in risking game #1 if they are also gonna lay a complete egg in game #2 cause they're tired. In other words, it has less to do with Preds -> Avs and more to do with Game #1 -> Game #2.

That would be my guess, at least.

Imma glass half full kind of guy, they’re saving the wins for the post season for the inevitable series against these Turds.

Comrie played his heart out. Need Samberg to retire from TikTok and come back. Hopefully Smoke isn’t hurt. Vilardi putting the scoring on his back and it’s not enough. I hope the Jets get a 2C sooner then later.

Veilguard, yes. I've played the other games in the series, and love the setting. As of right now, I can say that the VeilGuard is solidly the third best game in the series.

Some workload management. Give him the game at home after a day rest rather than a start after a late night travel. This was a scheduling makers game for the Avs so take the win in game 1.

After 1 and 3? I liked 3 much more than the average person, so if it's close to that, I'm excited to play it. My buddy who works for EA sent it to me a month or so ago, but I had a bad CRI, so I haven't been able to play it.

Feel bad for Comrie.

Don't mind losing to the Avs though, because I sure don't want to go through the disappointment of another promising year from the Jets only to be matched up in the 1st round against a team that isn't easy to beat. Avs should finish 2nd in the Central when it's all said and done.

Easton Cowan sure showed some meathead colors tonight.

Still...Happy New Year folks.

Jets haven't won a back to back. And I'm sure were late getting into Denver. I'm sure Arniel wanted the easier 2 points than potentially getting none.

Im a 2 drink kind of guy, ever since I hit forty it takes me 2 days to recover from heavy drinking. I do enjoy a bong and a blintz, a smoke and a pancake. Happy New Years friend and wishing all JetsHF a better 2025!

Don't. He's well compensated, and at this point, I think it's fair to say he'll be well compensated to be Hellebuyck's backup.

If this is the level of play he'll provide, he'll be the next Brossoit. Not quite at that level, but trustworthy enough that there is no point in playing Helle more than necessary.
