First 5 mins of the game Rangers were horrendous. The Avs took that tape and copied it for the rest of regulation. Turnovers and shit puck management.

Blackie saved us. First star by a mile for me.

While our PP is awful somehow we excel 6vs5 and who else but mr clutch Lehky ties it.

Then LOC decides to put the hammer down and take the team on his back. Absolute monster shift in OT to force game.

Always an awesome thing to grind and find wins on bad nights but they need to be better collectively soon.

You know why? Urgency. They did this dumb f*** thing with the goalie pulled and thats to shoot the puck and gets something greasy. Go figure. Imagine they played with urgency on the PP all the time they be unstoppable.

He has played extremely well and that's what 1G's do. Looking at the numbers since Blackwood's first game, there are still a lot of other goalies who can do the same.

I'm just relieved to know that the blackwood save percentage is definitely sustainable so we don't really have to worry about our defense too much.

Give the guy some credit.

At some point, maybe we start to grasp that every goal doesn't have to be a pretty one timer a la playing NHL on a console. SHOOT THE DAMN PUCK AND SLAP HOME A REBOUND. SO tired of watching us wait for perfect cross ice set ups. Every team in the league knows what we are doing, time to crash the damn net a bit more. MORE VOLUME. I'm sure having Nuke back parked in the front alternating with Lehky will help a lot, but others need to take on that role. Nate needs to quit the brain-dead low percentage crap. Mikko needs to power through more. Mitts needs to get out of his own head. And Blackwood....my god...I am so happy we got that extension done early.

He's got a GAA well under 2.00 and a save% in the high .930s. I don't know what are your expectations for a 1G in today's offensive NHL but this is above ans beyond.
