See I think it’s that the expect to be in the playoffs regardless, which has been fine in the past. They don’t have the room to try to take a 3.5 month sleepwalk into the playoffs this year though. I don’t believe for one second they don’t care. It legit seems to me like they aren’t understanding how important these points could be

I don't really know the dynamic the coaching staff has. Did Bednar pick Bennett as Pratt? Are those his boys? If Cmac fires them, is he going to be pissed? I'd definitely fire Bennett regardless. Pratt is at least turning around the PK. Pratt's issues always seems personnel related. That's never been f*** face Bennett's issue.

I don't think anyone knows the dynamics. Wouldn't be surprised if the coaches don't either.

This is a serious issue for the Avs. They are purposly avoiding having fresh eyes and takes from entering into the equation. If we were winning the cup or close every year, I could be okay with that. The fact that we are falling farther and farther from that goal, tells me there are changes that need to be made. If you can't change the personnel, you have to change the tactics you are using. If you're PP is getting absolutely stuffed by any team willing to stand up on the blue line, if you're PK refuses to challenge the puck carrier...you're special teams are absolute shit. Guess what? Outside of LOC and Makar our special teams suck both offensively and defensively.
