I’d swap Drouin and Necas in the top 6
Lehkonen-MacKinnon-Drouin
Nuke-Nelson-Necas

Yep. This is the other option.

I think you keep Lehky with Mack and Nelson with Val, but you can move Necas and Drouin around and see what works best.

I think the Avs like the dynamic skating they get with MacK and Necas together. Those two just operate at a different pace.

The chemistry between Drouin/MacK shouldn’t be overlooked though. I think you get the most out of Drouin on his wing.

I really like the thought of what we fielded last night.

Lehky-MacK-Necas
Drouin-Nelson-Nuke

Just seems so balanced. A speed line and a beat you down low because we're big and hopped on cocaine line. I think with time, Drouin can find that chemistry with Nelson-Nuke as a distributor and let the big boys work down low. Drouin himself has turned into a good forechecker with us as well. I like the look of that top 6.

Yeah, I’m certainly not making any changes after the way they played last night. I’d keep the same forward lines and D pairings.

That second line is still fast too, tbh. Nichushkin and Drouin skate really well and Nelson moves damn well for his size.

Lines should stay as is; not sure why it’s even being considered when we are firing on all cylinders.

MacKinnon and Necas provide ultra elite speed to overwhelm teams. Zone entries are a nightmare for opposition with them together. Lehkonen is our leading goal scorer and Bednar adores the player far too much to reduce his minutes, rightfully so.

Brock and Val seem to be board monsters together. Look at how they dominated down low and on the board play. Val is best on the right side cutting in with his tree trunk legs protecting the puck. Drouin can open up the play for both of them.

Lehky - MacK - Marty
JD - Brock - Nuke

Don’t touch it.

25:28 of ice time for MacKinnon with all of this new found depth. Thoughts, @dahrougem2? ;)

With Mack specifically I don't know that it's Bednar lol.

He has two more shifts than Lehkonen, but almost 5 more minutes of ice. Then three more shifts than Nuke and almost six minutes. I've seen him have the same number of shifts as Mitts and like 5 minutes more ice time too.

I'm sure some of that is the power play, but Mack will just Mack lol.

Nuke smilling like a kid at the (nose) candy store.😂

He's right about the excitement, they were fired up but also did stupid shit in the first. Once they settle down they dominated the last half of the game.
From my view this was the clean Nuke I want to see.

Remember the times when he had to do the interview on ice and was basically just itching to leave? Two words and bye. That's what jonesing does to you.

The fact he actually stayed to put a couple sentences together tells me he's stayed healthy, and I love to see it.

it's definitely inflated by the powerplay. When Avs got 2 PPs in a row in the 2nd he basically stayed out for the full two minutes each time

he definitely doesnt want to get off the ice for those lol

Anyone know where I can watch full game replays? Forgot to set the recording for what sounds like was a doozy.
