What kind of a win was this. It’s in shootout and no Makar point?
No…. We didn’t win this game at all
Agreed. I have no clue why everyone's so cheery about it either.

No one does what they are passionate about for money. Athletes do it to win.
I don't care how much he makes.
I don't think Nuke would bother with NHL hockey if the rewards were what your veteran friends got. If you believe that he would well then agree to disagree but I think you'll be in the minority with that assumption. Money is probably one of the biggest drivers in all of these guys careers and is probably often times is the biggest reason they even do it.
I don't believe it..
Pain destroys people looking for money, you need something beyond that. I'm sure it helps, but pain and money just do not mix in the moment.
It's why we don't steal the 3M bag of cash we carry around in country. The pain you've given to that point for the cause just isn't worth losing what you've won.
You can't pay for your man card. Nor will anyone sell it who has earned it.
I wouldn't be making this point if he wasn't a champion who played on a bloody ankle either.
The only people who could speak to this better are guys like Forsberg and Landeskog. I have a feeling money wasn't their motivation though.
I wouldnt say any of the playoffs series losses except last year had anything to do with Val. And even with Val Dallas was going to be tough.I'm not asking this f***er to be perfect, I'm asking him to not waste the prime years of MacK, Mikko and Makar!
Avs best dman this yearGirard has been in beast mode tonight.
Hey he won a game for us in... November! Total redemption for tanking 2 cup runs in the core's prime! Duh!They kept him out of jail when his OD'd hooker almost died in his hotel room. They look out for him fine. This is a grown man that made his own problems and then made his problems the team's problem. Then after rehab, he f***ing did it again. And I think you can make a good argument they didn't know about his problem the second time, since all the reports talked about how everyone in the room was shell shocked by the announcement. If he f***s us again in the playoffs, are you still going to give him a pass?
Friday night after Dallas , Deboer will request oneHopefully there's no surprise drug test after this game.
Gave us an excuse we weren't winning regardlessIn what world do the Avs win the cup in ‘23? If anything Nuke spared us of wasting any more of our time
How do you know that? You have no idea. Anything can happen in the playoffs. In what world do the Avs win the cup in ‘23? If anything Nuke spared us of wasting any more of our time
Even with captain Bo?Gave us an excuse we weren't winning regardless
The Avs need to keep shooting the puck into the stars bench on Friday.Friday night after Dallas , Deboer will request one
You're just a bitch focused on the past
Weakness is for those who hold their heart in what was, and not what is..
He just won that game lol. Your inability to give him credit is just an inability to move on from something he just urinated on.
Just saying lol
What even is this lmaoSorry, I live in a world where cheating death is a win. Anything less is p***y shit, and for me, we wouldn't have a cup if it wasn't for NUKE and his ability to fight through a absolutely ugly injury.
I think maybe we should be a bit supportive while he struggles with the pain med addiction that comes from it.
Unless you know for a fact he was an addict and rose to being a top six foward, then won a cup all while still being a piece of shit.
I'm sure he went from the third line to one of the most important forwards in a cup win while being a dirt bag cocain addict.
Did you celebrate that victory? If you didn't cool. If you did, shut the f*** up. Just saying.
He's family, like it or not..
