I liked some of the bottom sixers: Ivan, Wood, Kivi all had good energy.
Its frustrating.
There's a legitimate powerhouse team here, just cant figure out the goaltending at all so far. But you get Colton back in a couple more weeks and hopefully Drouin as well, you really could have 4 fantastic lines, especially if Bedsy really is going to keep Mikko and Mack split up and let the chemistry develop a little with the new lines:
Lehky - Mack - Nuke
Drouin - Mitts - Mikko
LOC - Colton - Kovalenko
Wood - Kelly - Ivan
Kivi
That is legitimately 4 really solid lines, and hell Kivi as your 13th forward is a pretty good spot to be in also. The defense is solid as well with Malinski establishing himself as a legit #5 IMO, probably just need one upgrade on CDH/Kyllington really.
But the damn goaltending needs to be the focus. Its encouraging that Georgiev has put together ~3-4 good starts in a row now(The Tampa game the other day I dont even blame him or care about his results that much), but Annunen is clearly a problem either way and they need to give George a legitimate challenger or at least good backup.
Personally I really, really still wish they would just go get Gibson. Even if George is their guy right now and ends up bouncing back big time this year, Gibby would be a top quality backup and fantastic insurance into the playoffs, then if we let George walk next year like we have the rest of our goalies you've got Gibson to start.
And none of this is even accounting for Landy, who I still really think will be back at some point and I'm actually of the believe its more about playing cap games right now then it's actually been about a Landy setback.
