If Nelson can't make it work with 27 and 62, then we are f***ed anyways. Drouin and Lehk are our 2nd line wingers, and damn good ones at that, Nelson is our 2nd line center. They need to spend the last 7 games figuring it out. Can't keep giving Nelson our best wingers every night for him to basically nothing.

Conversely 29 88 and 13 need to play together so they can be fully clicking by April 20.

As for the bottom 6 I'm good with rotating guys figuring out who deserves to be in the lineup game 1.

So maybe Beds is facing resistance..... I can see some kind of bench conflict going on between MacK and Jared on the bench at times.

This team needs its Captain.

Nate has never, ever liked dump and chase hockey. You can see him visibly hesitate at times. About the only guy I remember looking like he hated dumping the puck more was Rantanen.

I don't think you put an ice cold Lehkonen next to Nelson with a guy who’s dealt with injury issues all year long. That trio likely won’t get anything done.

Nichushkin has also not been very productive of late. Same with Necas. This is absolutely a time to be tinkering because there are problems. If there’s an issue I got right now it’s that he’s making those lineups and then sticking to them no matter what. A little in-game adjustment here and there to shake things up should be in order. I would’ve totally shaken up the top three lines, left the fourth one alone.

Another blown lead is not very reassuring for us to go far in the playoffs. The 2022 team never did that in the regular season. When they had the lead, they kept it, so this is not a good sign IMHO. Also, another game where you simply need some sort of Nelson play to give extra cushion and he didn't deliver (he was invisible if you'd ask me).

Really? I don’t see that. I always thought he was better on the left side…though he has proven he can play on the right pretty well, especially if there’s a really strong winger on the other side.

But yes. The tweaks to the lineup aren’t working. Go back to the way it was and try tweaking again maybe later. Or maybe not.

Well…it’s not working. I especially don’t like that he went back to Nelson and Nuke back together when that simply wasn’t working at all when Brock first arrived.

If Kivi is good to go, it’s Colton who should sit. While I think Colton has played a lot better of late, he’s been totally inept offensively.

I won't be shocked if St Louis catches us. I'm actually pretty positive they will if Bednar continues this f*** it attitude.

I think it's very possible we lose at least 4 of the last 7. LA and St Louis on the road are basically auto losses, Vegas at home will be a loss, them we probably throw away the CLB road game. We probably beat Chicago, Anaheim and Vancouver.

But if we go something like 2-5 and the Blues go 6-1 they'll pass us. And they very well could go 6-1 their schedule is extremely soft.

Yeah, if he’s taking contact and working out with PP1 then they’re not playing tiddlywinks. It seems clear to me that he could be on the top line given how they have him practicing - hadn’t thought about spot duty there but you’re right. I just can’t foresee him dealing with the rigors of first line duty night in and night out. I mean he hasn’t played in forever so I wanna be real about what we might expect. My question was geared on how you would configure the lines if he’s moving up. We’re not seeing chemistry between 13 and 88. So put 88 back with Nelly. But how would you fill out the rest of the lines?
