First, he goes again with the same lines that didn’t work against the Blues. I’m convinced he’s trying like hell to get Lehkonen going since we haven’t seen a goal from him in nine games (and frankly he doesn’t look great…something’s wrong) but it’s not working. At least he knows, or I HOPE he knows, that putting Lehkonen and Nichushkin is a mistake.

Bad shootout choices but I assume that’s because Nate and Cale were absolutely dead after playing almost the entire OT. Bednar waaaaaaay overplayed those two when he could’ve gone with LOC (and he didn’t until way late) or Girard, or hell even Malinski.

Another blown third period lead. Avs making way too many mistakes late in games and the goaltending is not bailing them out. Very concerning trend heading into the postseason.

Also can't invest in a guy till age 37 that's already struggling to keep up in this system. But his playoff performance is ultimately what's gonna sway the FO to make a legitimate offer. We'll see.

I see what he's trying to do. MacK loves playing with Lehky and Drou...and separating him from Necas gives an elite skater and zone entry machine on each line. On paper it makes sense. But you can manufacture chemistry. Stop f***ing around with it and go with what works. Simple as that.
