It's weird how much he looks like Bednar there. Just need gray hair lol.
I overreact after losses too so I don’t wanna sound hypocritical, but I wasn’t expecting this reaction after just one loss. I know Blues are a hated team here, but it’s not like we just lost a game 7 to them.
It’s just a loss. That’s how I look at it. I don’t think we were gonna win all the remaining regular season games. How we lost, who we lose to etc… don’t really care. Loss is a loss just like a win is a winI was disappointed, not necessarily super upset, but I get the frustration from people.
We were the better team, but also not enough better to overcome some shit reffing (the timing of it really was the most frustrating part).
I was impressed with how they played against LA and STL in a way. Those types of teams gave us fits in the past.
This team obviously has more to dial in, but it's getting there. Nine games left to do it.
As others have said, some adversity isn't a bad thing even if we all hate losing as much as Mack.
@dahrougem2 is my brethren, and I have no hatred towards him whatsoever. I liked Rantanen, but I love Necas, and he's a lot more personable than the German-esque attitude we got from Mikko. Now with that said, I don't know how anybody can defend his mistake today, it was one of the most egregious and not needed turnovers we've seen all year from any single player, and this is a team that employed Shane O'Brien, Kurtis MacDermid, Matt Duchene, and Casey Mittelstadt at one time lol.

During the cup year I think we lost bunch of games before the playoffsThat was.... whatever.
Apparently, we've hit the most posts in the league this season. Not surprised.
In any case, that non-call on Lindgren was extremely egregious - but the refs were not the reason why we lost that game.
I wouldn't want to head into the playoffs something like 20-1-1 anyways because you just know that there's gonna be a bad stretch coming at some point. So if there's a bit of lull here between now and the last 4 or 5 games of the regular season, so be it... standings be damned.

Looking at it now. In 2022, with the same amount of games played as the Avs have now (74), we had 21 more points. People are talking about how dominant the Jets have been this year with their p% of 0.712. Well, we had a p% of 0.77 back then. We cratered in the last 8 games, going 3-4-1. That cost us the President's trophy, which was claimed by Florida. Winnipeg would still have to improve their record this year to match our p% that year, and obviously that of Florida. Not really comparable. That team was a juggernaut all year, and had clinched the Western Conference very early.
My point is, losing games late in the season could be a good thing. It can be a wake up call, instead of going into playoffs on a 10 game win streakNot really comparable. That team was a juggernaut all year, and had clinched the Western Conference very early.
Remember when they lost a bunch of games late in the season the Cup year and turned on the switch all over Nashville's face? That was.... whatever.

They did. I remember when they blew a lead against Edmonton when Kane got a hat trick.During the cup year I think we lost bunch of games before the playoffs
Lol thats insane. 21 more points than the current is so crazy when you think about it.Looking at it now. In 2022, with the same amount of games played as the Avs have now (74), we had 21 more points. I don’t remember our injury situation at the start of the 2022 season, but I know we didn’t have Georgiev in net. So you can understand why we had that many more points in 22 compared to this year. I think we were relatively healthy all year that seasonLooking at it now. In 2022, with the same amount of games played as the Avs have now (74), we had 21 more points. it’s not too crazy. If we had this current roster we have now from the start of the season, we’d probably be on par with the 22 team as far as the regular season standing and points. We would be battling with the Jets for the 1st place10.5 more wins, that's mad.
I need an epipen after that..@dahrougem2 is my brethren, and I have no hatred towards him whatsoever. I am not sure why Dahrougem wants to defend Necas for that; he has this mental junior turnover mistake around once a week, and why the Canes have wanted to trade him for the past couple of years. Even @Balthazar mentioned that so far he hasn't been a playoff performer and just making that sort of play that late in the game against a very stingy, defensive neutral club is beyond idiotic. That doesn't mean I hate him as a player, but he simply needs to be called out for it because I want another Cup, and if he's making plays like that in the postseason, all these trades have been for not. Dahrougem came at me strong, using all the penetrable force in his repertoire, and I wasn't having any of it. Not today, I have a headache.
Like Day comes after Night, nammerus pops up after a loss. Not really comparable. That team was a juggernaut all year, and had clinched the Western Conference very early.
And there it is. We all know the formula here:Guys, the refs did not cost us this game. Bednar did.
lose 3 or more in a row it’s time to tankAnd there it is. We all know the formula here:
Avs win = great players with of course always some faults people have to point out.
Avs lose = Bednar is at fault
Avs lose 2 or more in a row = CMac's fault
When, where does the fire Beds and fire Cmac equations fit into the formulae? Wondered if the fire Beds thought balloon would appear after the gm..And there it is. We all know the formula here:

Fire Bednar is permanent. Fire CMac will come after Mikko gets points couple of more games in a row and Necas turns the puck over for couple of more games in a rowWhen, where does the fire Beds and fire Cmac equations fit into the formulae?
