F*** them regular season trophies. What are we, Oilers fans???Nate on pace for just under 160 points.
Cale on pace for 130 points.
Ride them 24 mins/gm and bring on the Hart, Norris, and Art Ross.

I still at times wonder why did the Canadians traded Lehkonen. I don't know if their GM is really such a dumb person to do that. Trade someone else but Nooo, he chose to trade a player that fits like the glove on the Avs roster. He is a perfect player and can play on 1st, 2nd or 3rd line for a decent price. Imagine how lucky we were when we were able to trade for a player that would fit into our 1st line or 2nd line perfectly and for cheap.Lehhky is on pace for 93 points in 70 games. Let's not leave him out.

Always thought it was cool that he's one of the few legitimate NHL'ers to come out of a Colorado development program. Would've been a fun story if he had ever become and Av.Slavin is awesome.
Solid once again, despite 4th line minutes playing with two dumpster fire players. Played well enough to stick after guys come back, imoMissed 90% of the game, how was Prisch

Acquiring a Dman at the deadline will surely be the plan, especially considering that the Avs have tended to have 5 good Dmen for the playoffs each of the last few years. Case in point is when they traded Byram the promptly made sure they had a replacement in Walker. With Walker leaving in UFA they'll most certainly want to acquire someone at the deadline. The more I see of Ludvig, the more I believe he’s not an NHL player. He doesn’t do anything especially well, and he's less physical than I thought. Shame that Kylington, Brannstrom and Ludvig haven’t really provided a real option at 7D. I dare say the Avs need to make a move for one at some point this season.

Get him off the team ASAP along with 8gievAs expected Girard was horrendous again. Only surprising thing is he somehow has positive impact on offense.

AI was very confused by that one, but I could absolutely see Taco Bell doing something crazy like the combo of all that. Now I just want a hot dog, burrito and calzone
Look I’m not gonna say he was great but are we already forgetting that just a few games ago he was playing quite well and supplanted Toews on the top pairing? As expected Girard was horrendous again. Only surprising thing is he somehow has positive impact on offense.

You didn't like Kovalenko? I thought Ivan - Mittelstadt - Kovalenko looked great together and kept the Hurricanes at bay all night. A shot heavy team was only able to generate 4 attempts and 1 shot on goal against them at 5v5, and only 1 scoring chance while they put 8 pucks towards the goal, 4 on net, had 4 scoring chances and 2 high danger chances.Big win, looked like to me the kind of game where you clearly see the difference between a team that has gamebreaking talent, and one that doesn’t. Carolina seemed to have things in control and then Cale went down the ice and ripped one past Martin, and everything changed after that.
Kinda sucked to see that one really great shift where they kept the puck in the attacking zone forever but couldn’t do a damn thing with it. And then of course an exhausted Sammy turns the puck over and they score. Right there is where the lack of depth really sucks.
I see Bednar heard me when I said that LOC was really struggling and swapped him out with Kovalenko. Unfortunately I thought Kovalenko had his own issues. Obviously there’s no easy fix at this point, getting Nuke back will help immensely.

A lot of this win rested on playing Martin, half of those goals wouldn't have come against Kochetkov. Not that I am angry, all you can do is play the team in front of you and if Rod is going to put his back up against our elegance, then get a boom headshot by Makar.Couldn’t watch. The thread was a fun read for the first 15 pages.
Despite the crippled roster, the Avs are trudging along, getting points whenever they can.
We have several players coming back relatively soon, and they’ve managed to stay within 1 point of a wildcard spot, and 2 points from 3rd in the division.
So, I should've been a little better at my phrasing--I thought Kovalenko was fine, maybe even good, just that he really could not for the life of him generate a legit scoring chance. So he was great at pushing the play and keeping it away from the Canes, who are no slouches when it comes to puck retrieval, I'm just saying he's got a little ways to go when it comes to getting that separation he needs to make plays. It's fine, Mittelstadt was out there with him and Ivan, I'm not expecting miracles here. I would like to see him shoot with just a tad more accuracy, but I realize that's being nitpicky. The fact that he scraps and claws for every inch of ice out there already makes him vastly superior to guys like Foudy and Olausson. You didn't like Kovalenko? I thought they were good and the difference between LOC and Kovalenko in terms of skill level was noticeable immediately.
