I think advances have been made, but with certain Cancers. They saved my father in law, and six months later I watched him starve to death having it spread from the Pacreas to the colon while raising my newborn daughter in their house so they could have her around as a distraction. It's ugly, but "Cancer" alone doesn't describe how many different types there are and how difficult each is to fight medically.

I know it’s early in the season but the Avs are going to need to go on a heater and then play well for quite a stretch to make the playoffs at this point. This Landeskog/nuke thing really f***ed them when the injuries started to pile up. It’s just been too much to overcome.
