My first question in a situation is not to ask the person how they are doing, but to ask usually in private how the other half, support system person/people, how are they doing? Second, ask if we can help with food, meals.

You’re very wise. I used to wonder why people would ask me how I’m doing haha. I remember telling my best friend “well I’m either gonna live or die and it’s out of my control”
