Literally every time we go to a shootout, someone makes comments in this vein, either about us, or our opponent.... and every single time if you looked at shootout stats, it eliminates that question.

Since he start of 2020-21 Coyle is tied for 11th in the NHL in shootout goals. Nuke didn't have nearly as many opportunities but was 75% (3/4) in that same time period.... and Colton is kinda in the middle going 5/9. For comparison sake, when he was an Av, Rantanen was just over 25% at 26.3%... MacKinnon is a putrid 16.7%, Makar 25%

3 out of 6 from this three game stretch is about what we needed.

Obviously still need one of the two central teams to drop some points, but we're still on track if we win the ones we need to.

My biggest concern is the big boys look like they may have emptied the tank a bit in the Dallas game.

I'd bring back Vladar next season. Another 2 year deal nice and cheap and nice and short. Guys all know him and he does have some pretty solid stretches. Big guys like him with NHL games always seem to be worth at least a late pick.

Him and Hubes actually have a bit of chemistry but both tend to hang on to the puck 2 seconds too long.
