Avalanche Jersey Pickups Part III

I've never purchased anything from Coolhockey, but they currently have a sale. Customized jerseys are on sale for $125 CAD, and you can request to have it hand-stitched for an additional $25. Also, if you use the code WELCOME10, you receive an additional 10% off. I'm taking a gamble as my go-to was always Hockey Authentics and EPS. Hopefully, it'll turn out ok.
Man, that sounds like a solid deal. Let us know how it turns out!

I want to say my wife spent like 2-250 plus back in the early 2000's for my CCM Roy sweater.

Is there a local place in Colorado to get a jersey altered, need to change mitts to Necas..
Seriously.. just lean into the fact you've already got #37 on it. I think you should swap the nameplate to with Ručinský or Hensick.

Both served the franchise honorably. In a couple more years, you could probably put Compher or even O'Reilly on it, but for some reason there are still a lot of boneheads that just simply hate the dudes.

Stripping the kit is the complicated part here. If you turn it inside out and pull at the fabric under the number does it come away from the number?

If it does, you could likely strip it yourself using a seam ripper or even just get someone who does clothes alterations to do that. Then just take it/send it to for a new kit. That’s the easiest route other than just taking it for a nameplate swap (Compher if you care the player actually wore the adidas jersey and any 37 you like if you don’t).

If it doesn’t, then there’s adhesive and this becomes a pain. How big of a pain depends on how much adhesive they used. You’ll likely struggle to find someone locally. Even among customizers, stripping is a pretty niche offering. Best bet is probably to get in touch with Liberty Bell Jerseys and see if they’re taking orders. First Line Jersey’s would strip it for you as well but you probably don’t want to be shipping to and from Canada right now.

It's a hand stitched job from hockey authentic, it does seem like there's some adhesive.

Totally forgot that some dickhead could have come up to him and started shouting out him for having a Addidas jersey with a player who wasn't here before 17/18.

If someone gives you a hard time for a jersey you enjoy wearing, tell them to talk to me. I'll set 'em right as rain for you buddy.

Looking on Liberty Bell's site prices for their work, might just have to sell it or put the money towards a necas one.
That’s a good call. It’s crazy expensive to redo a kit. There’s a reason I learned to strip them myself but that’s not something worth doing for 1 jersey. It’s easy to screw up once chemicals are involved

There’s a definite subset of collectors who are complete pricks that take themselves too seriously. Had one completely lose the plot enough to care that I put a 95-96 kit and Cup patch on a 96-97 Starter mesh jersey as if it mattered or anyone else would ever know the difference

Some folks.

Unless you want to spend a day in court, what are you going to do, huh?

Hey guys, quick update. I ordered an Adidas Makar 3rd jersey. A month later, I got a cancellation email from Coolhockey because they don't have the jersey in stock. They sent me a different promo code and I got 15% off for another future order. I ordered a Landeskog home- hand stitched on Mar 27 and I received it today (only took 12 days)! I think they expedited the order knowing that they messed up with my initial order.

Here are a few pictures. One thing I noticed is that the silver outline from the number isn't sitting on top of the white. The arch on the name bar is slightly different than EPS or Hockey Authentic but passable imo (I've seen the arch from the name bar being more aggressive).

I'm quite happy with the jersey! Here's to hoping that Landy will be returning to the Avs soon!

Had my first mail day in forever especially since the Canada Post strike delayed some of my send aways. Shockingly impressed that the Fanatics premium realm is on par with the Adidas Indo Authentics
