Flyers fans genuinely think they’re getting a pick between 11-14 with our 1st. They don’t think we will make the playoffs.

I want us to go on a tear just so they end up with like #22 or something.
I'd love if they got 32

All situations:

Shot Attempts 68-54 Avs
Shots on Goal 29-26 Avs
Scoring Chances 36-27 Avs
High Danger Chances 11-8 Flyers
xGF 2.56-2.13 Avs

Rantanen, MacKinnon, and Nichushkin all had very poor games.

That's now back to back games where Nichushkin has looked like a bag of ass.

Flyers…maaaaan what a mediocre pile of slop. It’s a miracle Torts gets anything out of that lineup. Just awful, and Kolosov was not good but better than I would’ve expected. If the Avs had their shit together (and they don’t) they would’ve won this in a rout.

Didn’t like MacKinnon’s game at all. Both his penalties were the result of shitty defensive zone play and his shooting and passing were completely off. Just looked hesitant all night long.

Annunen was bad IMO. Before I could say his rebound control was good, everything else was lagging. Not anymore, he was pinging the puck worse than George, and I didn’t like either of the goals he gave up at all. No awareness of the puck whatsoever. He’s lucky AF Philly’s shot accuracy was worse than the Avs.

I’m happy the Avs got the win but I’m annoyed that they only seem able to beat bad teams (Hurricanes game being a rare exception). They seem to control bad teams pretty well, but the moment they face a good team and especially a good goalie, they kinda wilt. Team is mostly healthy now, they need to knock this shit off and start playing cohesively.

Also, Sammy was fantastic tonight but y’all already knew that. Can’t say the same about Manson. Only hit he laid that affected the game was on the ref.

Good take on juice. Have wondered about the secondary aspect of his face. What it suggests. Your thought on that is interesting, provocative. Would say useful in the right brains. Oh, and happen to agree. That he somehow has sacrificed mass for flexibility. Your word 'twitch' is a better framing..

This is good stuff. Find these analysis as interesting as the game. Props..

I seen guys who were ripped not be able to keep up in SFAS (Special Forces Assessment and Selection) during log drills, obstacles, running, ropes etc. Those guys that looked like the Rock lasted days, and if they lasted longer had injuries.

Hench talks about it, and I agree. Muscle isn't always the answer.

Have enough to hall your ass and your equipment over the wall. Anything more is not efficient.

I was like 180lbs at 5'11 at 22 when I made it through that.

Makar is listed at 187lbs at 6', but I'm pretty sure he's like 5'11.5" lol unless he grew after the draft combine. Very similar build to him and Duchene.

People like Nuke are freaks.. I've seen a couple. Watching a giant man that's 6'2 210lbs run a 6:30 mile.. You can feel it in the ground while next to them running.

Those people might as well be Khan/Vulcan lol.

Got the W

The 3rd period was bad and I didn't like the 2nd goal from Juice, but other than that he was fine.

Best players: Mitts, Makar, Girard, Malinski, Manson, Wood

Worst players: Nuke, Mack, Shittington
Nuke hit the wall tonight. It was like he was playing in a different time zone from everyone else.

MacK is so good that even when he'snot playing his best, he still gets points and sets up his line mates. He's been a wee bit off of late. Slightly out of synch, taking the wrong angle to the play, losing the puck when its on his blade... And his FO skills remain intermediate. At best.

Heart attack material

I needed that win today for my spirits boys - thank you :thumbu:

Love my team mannnn, heart & soul !!

This is the team, minus a 3C I don’t really like as the 3C..

Unless Landeskog comes back like freak and pushes Lehhky to 3LW, which is possible.

Even you have to admit.. Goalie might be the most important thing to add. I'd like a better 5/6D, but they neeeeeeed a goalie.

I'm all about Gibson, the trade to a playoff team will turn that dude into a monster I think.

Even you have to admit, they can't go into the playoffs with these two.

I wouldn't say that's true about the Avs and bad teams. Like you said they beat the Hurricanes, they also beat the Kings and Senators who I believe are good teams but not cup contenders, and they were better than both Vegas and Winnipeg in losses.

Other games like Boston, Washington, the Islanders, and Tampa Bay were definitely deserved losses but we know the Avs have another gear they can get to. Now it's just about gelling together.

First goal was shit too. I don’t think he was decent at all, just lucky he faced off against a team that struggles mightily to finish.
The first goal is unlucky. Goalies always let ones in like that every now and then. He's trying to look around the screen, doesn't hear the shot get taken, then it's in the back of the net. If it was clean without a screen, then I'd be much more upset about it.

We were bad against bad teams when we couldn't play with defensive teams, and put in the same work ethic.

The Arizona and Nashvilles of the world. EJ instilled enough hate for STL and Minnesota that we overcame those f***s on occasion.

My biggest complaint with Mack is the same as it’s been for years. When things are going his way he plays like the best player in the world but when things aren’t going how he wants or there’s some adversity in a game he either pouts and doesn’t play the way he should or he goes out and tries to do everything himself and ends up turning over the puck constantly. Tonight we got pouty Mack after he missed some passes and took some penalties.

Love Mack and even when he’s not at his best he’s still better than 95% of players in the NHL, but there’s always that little inconsistency to his game.
