How important are faceoffs? With 1 being not important at all and 5 being the most important?

All we need to do is replace the following players with better players and we’ll be good…

Mitts
Wood
Colton
de Haan
Middleton
Kylington
Malinski

We got this!!!!

The bottom 4 is fine. Not the best, but they aren't the reason the Avs are losing game. Plus they all make like $1m.

Wood is meh, I'm okay with him still at 2.5 m.

Mitts and Colton though, that's 9.75 m of black hole hockey, no offense, no chances, nothing. And they both have 2 more years on their contracts. That's what's killing us.

If Val isn’t coming back, Bednar should put Colton with Drouin and Mitts. I doubt it would help much but at this point, they need to try everything

Showcase Colton in the top six, problem is no one believes being on Mitts line is being in the top six lol.

He looked like a different fkn player though, hitting and going to the net after he got put with Mack.

I've f***in said, you need to put him with two other smart players and just let him rip up and down the LW.

I wanted Drury and LOC, but I guess Mack and Lehhky works..

Sounded like a waving the flag presser.

That happened last night when he said, "I loved our game and they earned both of their goals." Just more "Ah shucks" BS.

Pierre Lacroix fired Bob Hartley shortly after a Cup win because he thought the players were tuning him out. If I'm not mistaken Hartley's worst season was 5 wins shy of the Stanley Cup. Crawford was there for 98 Oilers and Granato for 03 Wild right? That means Hartley never fell short of game 7 of the WCF. My how the mighty have fallen because the standard is complete ass now. And the comparisons between 22 and the glory days never need revived. 22 had a don't mess up goalie. Glory days had the GOAT who wasn't afraid to tell the MacKinnons of the team to stop pouting and sack up.

I didn't rant last night, but tonight I will.

f*** 29, can't play that f***ing bad. Stop pouting and pull your head out of your ass.

Necas was ass.

Lehk was ass.

For that matter the entire forward group is complete dog shit.

The coaching staff can be shot to the moon.

The training staff can f*** off, how come we never get players back into the lineup? It's a joke.

I just don't know why it's so f***ing hard for this team to ever give one f*** about playing hard. There isn't another team in league that gives a worse effort on a night to night basis. Not one. 90% of the time the effort simply isn't there. It's utterly pathetic.

I hope they miss the playoffs so that we can blow this roster and coaching staff to the f***ing moon it's not even remotely close.

But they don't.

I didn't watch the last 2 games (thankfully) but honestly this shit from Bednar is inexcusable. You're the damn coach. A main part of your job is to find ways to generate offense. All you do is open the door for the 2 best players in the world and force them to play half the game. I could coach the team and Makar and MacKinnon would produce.

Your PP has been mostly shit, and failed at a key moment today. Pretty much every middle 6 player's performance has been declining since November. Yet you do the same shit night in and night out. How about trying something different? How about putting guys in positions to succeed (i.e. reuniting Dru + Mack)? How about rewarding guys like Parssinen with ice time when they are performing well? Look in the mirror man. Seems like he's just waiting for Nuke to come save them.

Really starting to feel like he's lost the room. It's getting to a point where maybe we make a coaching change instead of wasting assets in a marginal forward upgrade.

No waive De Haha,

That's the one I can't stand. Neither of those two are bringing anything back. I guess if some team NEEDS them in the trade.

Last f***in problem on this team is our depth D though. It's the 4/5D and the 2C.
I will be SHOCKED if De Haan gets another NHL job next year.

If he does, he must be "one of the boys" and loved by old school GMs league wide.

Get a solid 2nd pair d-man, put him with Girard, move Manson to 3rd pair and get another depth d-man, someone not too expensive but better than de Haan, Middleton, Malinski, Kylington

Get the best D possible, and find a f***in center that does important shit. Maybe add another depth winger.

Trade Colton, Mitts, and Wood if possible.

I'd straight waive Colton if he says no to a trade just to prove 32 teams don't want to pay for your trash play.

And yet, this crap has happened over and over this season, amf will happen multiple times over the next 25 games.

They just aren't good, and they don't seem to GAF most nights.

I think the Avs are good enough to be a playoff team but they dont GAF most nights and thats on the coach. That Cadbury guy in Washington is doing a hell of a lot more with way less and hes getting production up and down the roster. You will never convince me that Ovi, Strome, Chychrun, Wilson and Thompson are better than Mackinnon, Necas, Makar, Lehkonen and Blackwood. That team scored 15 goals this weekend. The Avs scored 2. f***in Ovechkin himself outscored the f***in Avs this weekend.

That window is closing fast.
Its damn near closed especially with Makar set to sign the richest dman contract the world has ever seen.

I will be SHOCKED if De Haan gets another NHL job next year.

You can always rely on the Avs to sign one of these one foot out the league dman every season.

I get the anger... there too. But the training staff is a bridge too far methinks. Coaching staff and management, abso100%lutely.

Awful performance, but weird circumstance with team's best three players coming off of a high intensity international final two days before a late afternoon back-to-back

We have a long homestand and some time between games and the third weakest schedule for the remainder of the season

I'm anticipating there will be players back, another piece or two added, and a strong enough run-in to fool ourselves into thinking we can compete in the playoffs
