HF should have a policy that all AI fakes must be clearly labeled as such in the post.

Yes AI should be labeled but your attack on “boomers” is both unwarranted and extremely childish. It shows your age.HF should have a policy that all AI fakes must be clearly labeled as such in the post.

I don’t think this injury issue is going away. Next season will be very telling if he’s damaged goods. Thank the heavens he only signed for 4 years, what a moron
It would align so well with what @JT AM da real deal has been saying about his back too. The no surgery needed thing was a huge confirmation of this.I don’t think this injury issue is going away. One of the guys on the Overdrive show yesterday (McLennen?) made a great point regarding a missed opportunity by Matthews to become a hero/legend to the Toronto fans yesterday.
If all he did was start his media availability yesterday, with an opening statement that the comments made by Marchand, Maurice, and Tkachuk were wrong. That Toronto fans are not the problem, that the team enjoys playing in front of such enthusiastic and die hard fans.
As the captain of the team, defending the their fans would've made him a legend, even without all the winning.
Missed opportunity for sure. Shocked that the Leafs PR team didn't have any players address that.

I absolutely agree. There is so much wrong that can go with a back and because it’s such a large area with vertabrae, bones and cartilage, it would make the most sense. A wrist injury to me is pretty cut and dry. Also Matthew’s should have realized himself about his own body and back issues but greed got the best of him. Thank god!It would align so well with what @JT AM da real deal has been saying about his back too. The no surgery needed thing was a huge confirmation of this.
We may very well be dealing with damaged goods and may need to trade him before everyone else realizes.
I updated the post to state AI generated to be safe.HF should have a policy that all AI fakes must be clearly labeled as such in the post.

Oh, everybody realizes. The only scenario where he gets anything but an underwhelming return is if he's returned to form, in which case, they'll never trade him.It would align so well with what @JT AM da real deal has been saying about his back too. I mean, it does say Dangerous AI right on the video
Old doesn't equal stupid. But young sure seems to mean gets offended easily. I recognized it for what it was right away and thought it was hilarious.
Normally I turn AI junk off after like five seconds but watched this one the whole way through.
Good call… I would have thought it was obvious too but I’ve already seen at least one person fooled by it.I updated the post to state AI generated to be safe.
Fair enough, my language was overly harsh there.Yes AI should be labeled but your attack on “boomers” is both unwarranted and extremely childish. It shows your age.
Once you mature you will realize there is no need to attack any age demographic with silly names
Both of these kids were from poor families and both fought hard for their money .. Mitch and Matty never paid registration fees like other kids did .. there are issues with minor hockey which have been exposed but bottom line nothing got changed .. it all got swept under da rug .. Da white envelopes of cash in junior still occur to preferred kids .. Nylander family is extremely wealthy (he did not need to play hockey) McDavid Mack Drai Tavares were from upper middle class families with money and 2 incomes .. to say Mitch is a snot nosed rich kid is so far from da truth .. he actually was a pretty happy go lucky kid who did not have much as a kid .. and very very very few of these kids actually get anywhere close to contracts which Mitch has received .. so when you see Matty and Mitch push for everything they can get you have to understand their backgrounds .. once a poor kid mindset always a poor kid mindset .. it just doesn't changeThere's no Tweedledee on this team.
Just Tweedledum and Tweedledumer. Matthews and Marner are like two peas in a pod in so many ways. They're both exceptional talents who perform well in the regular season before disappearing in the playoffs each year.
And they both got a big stupid mouth.
I think it's safe to say the first year of Matthews Captaincy was a disappointment. Plagued by a mysterious illness his production plummeted while cashing in as the highest paid player in the league. Only to disappear in the playoffs while his team went out in humiliating fashion once again.
Then to ice the stupidity cake with a comment like this.
Something like this is expected from a snot nosed rich kid like Marner. But Matthews needs to be above such childishness. His role as Captain requires him to accept responsability for the team's failings even if his own play was adequate.
Which neither Matthews or his brother from another mother were.
All good. The one thing we all have in common is our love for the leafsGood call… I would have thought it was obvious too but I’ve already seen at least one person fooled by it.

Doubt either of their families were "poor", more likely middle-class. There are no poor kids in hockey in the GTA.Both of these kids were from poor families and both fought hard for their money .. Your level of coping is reaching mental gymnastics level my friend. Lol.what was the answer again? how many did he score playing against Barkov?
Nah.
He's perfectly fine in the reg season when he plays racking up goals for 9 years. And he usually does ok first half of each playoff series.
Problem is the core 4 all bomb out together. And none of them (maybe excluding Nylander) are dynamic scorers. Marner can zip around and rush, but he's a creator. AM waits for passes or rebounds. JT's goals comes from 10 ft of the net jamming at rebounds or deflections.
Nylander does the best of the bunch in playoffs, but he gets neutralized too. Just not as bad in all the playoffs.
AM is fine. Other players on teams are banged up too. How comes Dallas has done fine in playoffs and they were missing Robertson and Heiskinen for half the playoffs. I'm sure they are banged up too coming back.
The core 4 as a whole just doesn't have the drive to go the distance against good teams in a long series. If it's the regular season, funny how the Leafs do fine and beat good teams in one-off games and get 100-110 pts every year being a top team. The just dont have it in the playoffs to do it for 7 game series grinding it out against good teams like Boston or Florida for series that can last 2 weeks long. And some of their losses are when they got home ice advantage. So even that isnt enough of a motivation boost to win.
Injuries that linger for 6 months that don't get better with surgery or rehab tend to stick around. It's probably chronic and this is him for the rest of his career. That would explain why he doesn't want to disclose it.Shame on the people bashing Matthews when he was clearly playing injured and just admitted to that.
I hope he gets the rest and recovery he needs, comes back next year and shuts the haters up once and for all.
