And Winnipeg is one of the few to say it out loud, but the fact is, every team plays hard against Toronto. They know we’re the biggest market and always in the spotlight, so they all want to play hard to impress.

I agree it doesn't mean much in the long term. It's just fun to point out how stupid Scheifele is to have said that, along with the Jets posting video of it. So maybe its karma coming back against them.

Three straight doesn't seem like a lot. Especially considering how the Leafs are just a better team.

Something I found interesting is how much Hellebuyck has been torched by Matthews. Tied with Price for 2nd with 12 goals only behind Anderson (13).

How many goals did Matthews have against him during the 2020-21 Season in the all Canadian division? That year the Leafs played the Jets 10 times, when it's normally 2 times each season. So, I think it's fair to say that inflated his goal totals against Hellebuyck, not that I'm complaining each time he scores against him.

When that little gang filled iced over town got their team back a few years ago I was happy for them. It didn't take long for that mouth breathing fan base to take that goodwill away. I detest that team and think their Fans are the least knowledgeable hockey fans in Canada. Any day we smash the Jets is a good day!!

Very nice game from Toronto, didn't play our best and looked better then the Jets. I think some fatigue is starting to set in, they have essentially will be playing every other day so far in January.

Samsonov was excellent but I must admit I thought the Jets would look like contenders but they looked pretty meh

When our big boys got going they looked overmatched
