come in a game you should win easily but didn't play the way you should happening to every team no exception. Something that cost you some pts, sometime you still find a way to win it. Sure will prefer get every poont, bit it's the life


Like tampa losing to philly and next game need everything to win it 2-0 with a pp EN goal to close it.

I have been very negative towards the team this season, but they deserve credit for how they battled and gritted out a win against FLA last night. They control their own destiny now. They play a team they almost always play down to (and give up 5+ goals against) on Saturday. Time to show that the FLA game wasn't a fluke.

Stolarz was injured and Woll was playing a heavy workload and got a night off the second time.

Tampa would need to make up 5 points in the remaining 6 games
Florida would need to make up 6 points in the remaining 6 games

we could probably go 2-4 for 104 points
tampa would need to go 5-0-1 to tie us (nice thing being we have the tie breaker )
florida would need to go a perfect 6-0 to tie us (same thing as above with tie breakers)

a 3-3 record cements us as first in this scenario

ideally we clinch 1st before the last game or two so we can rest guys, but things rarely go to plan.

Way too generous. 3/4 points against the florida teams will be tough and I think we all know they’ll choke away a game against Buffalo or Detroit. But hopefully if we lose against Buffalo or Detroit we’ll have locked up the first spot by then.

I see Saturday as a win win. Calumbus has had our number a bit but we can beat those guys and we should. But if we don't and they win it puts some pressure on the Habs which is good because, well, F* the Habs, and I hope they fall out of a playoff spot.

I could see the Leafs losing the game in Florida simply because the game won't matter. Florida will likely be 6 points behind the Leafs before that game, so that chase will already be over anyway.

If we can win those 2 Florida games next week then we will take 1st place and play Sens .. it is a huge ask but a goal worth going for with every bit of effort required .. puts Tampa and Florida in a 1st round matchup which means 1 goes home .. hopefully Tampa knocks off Florida as i think we have a much better chance against Tampa due to each teams game play/flow
