We're about to wrap up the off-season but before we do I wanted to give you guys a chance to ask us questions about LA Kings Insider, All The Kings Men and any other part of the LA Kings content mechanism.

You can ask about players if you want but we're probably not going to address them.

The business ops side of the LA Kings has (coincidentally) undergone a (possibly) bigger rebuild than the hockey ops side... and I think it's fitting that we give a brief history and overview of the current state of things.

Jesse. Do you see a move between camp and season opener where maybe Iafallo gets moved to make room for a kid if they blow up in camp?
 
I'd like to know what the brainstorming sessions are like when it comes to designing new uniforms/logos, if they do focus groups, and if there are plans to upheave the current uniforms. The homeplate logo and the jersey templates from the bygone era of Reebok uniforms are starting to look dated.

Many polls showed that the initial Retro Reverse uniforms were popular among fans and players, so is there any reason why the organization is opposed to making money from something that fans like?

I don't have a specific question but really glad you're doing this one Jesse--there have been an absolute ton of hires between analytics and otherwise that we haven't heard much about (nor would we really without this episode) or haven't gotten much fanfare. It's interesting to see how Blake's vision for the organizational side builds off DL's. We obviously talk about the players part a lot but not so much the behind-the-scenes here.

It does seem the Kings have been pretty supportive of new media, is there a long game/vision in play here? Edit: I lied i guess i do have a question!

Maybe this won't be answered, or maybe it already was(?), but why was Jon Rosen let go?
 
I thought these questions were supposed to be directed at Jesse and co. as in relating to them -- but if not, going off the Rosen question, do we know anything about why Lisa Dillman was let go from the Athletic or who will be replacing her? Who is the Kings beat writer for the LA Times these days?

I have no idea what happened with Lisa at the Athletic and believe me I have been asking...

as for the LA Times to the best of my knowledge they haven't had a dedicated beat writer since Jack Harris was assigned to the Angles.

I personally thought he was the best Kings reporter we have had since I have been a fan. I’d love to chat with him, wish he posted here.

And speaking of Rosen…



Do we know any more on this? Was there a split between Blake and Yanetti or some of the scouts on who to pick? Obviously a pretty massive decision for the organization.

I don't like the "LOS ANGELES" along the bottom.
I don't like the silver glitter fabric.
I don't like that crown.
I don't like the numbers ABOVE the armbands.
I don't like purple and black as a combo.
I don't like the shoulder patch.

That era of jersey is by far my least favorite in franchise history.

Also I have no influence.

EDIT: I ALSO DON'T LIKE THE FONT

Jon Rosen was truly the GOAT. Always honest. No bullshit.

Some of the best content ever was when the Kings were bombing after sutter got fired, and he was unrelenting with his criticism.
